What about Winterer?

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

At first I didn't realize that was Captain OC's sword in the ground, and was wondering why there was just a sword stuck in the ground for Gokua to grab.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

You know in hindsight, the scientist should have experimented on one subjects at a time, and of those they experiment on, they test only the ones based on positive psych profiles, ones that would be least likely to commit wanton acts of destruction.

Ah, who am I kidding. These scientists would have never done psych profiles. :lol:

I know that there's much negative talk about DBM here but maybe those of you who happen to like it or at least do enjoy it sometimes, would like to participate in the celebrations related to its 1000th page? For more info look here.

It would interesting to see what those submissions will have in store. A giant group picture with all the contestants? A short video fast forwarding through the story in different artstyles? Who knows but it will be a good celebration. I would submit something but I can't draw.

They could have just called him Snow and it would sound less awkward. Cold isn't a pun, after all.
There's already a Snow in the series.

And Cold actually is a pun in Japanese, because the character's name is spelled コルド (ko-ru-do), whereas the English word "cold" spelled in Japanese is コールド (ko-o-ru-do).

Or even Gamigi. They can use puns from multiple languages. But Snower? That's the worst shit I've ever heard from a fan manga. Worst than Xicor.

You don't need to draw - there's also the possibility of submitting a 20-seconds video saying what one enjoyed most in DBM.

Maybe "Snower" sounded better in the French version. I don't really see why they needed to namedrop a third made-up Freeza relative, though. They only mentioned Cold and Polar in the earlier pages.

Now although me to introduce the greatest snow-theme-named character of all time: SNOWFLAME!!!

I totally read the Nappa one with Nappa's TFS voice. So in character for that version.

@Regarder

Yeah, the story would have been tighter overall if there was a smaller cast of fighters instead of an obscene amount of forfeits.

In fairness, half of them are caused by Ye Olde Saiyans and the Nameks leaving. I do wonder whether Salagir had planned that from the beginning though. I mean, it flows from the fact that they learn they are overmatched, but at the same time, there are a lot of fighters in that Universe who supposedly would have had fights, so it's also a way to rush through things too. Should that Universe have been in to begin with? We got a good Reccoom Vs Nail fight out of it at least.

It's tough, slaving away to make an ongoing story and keeping artists on, year after year, so I don't blame him too much in any case.

That doesn't make any sense.

a) the forfeits are only a few;

b) the forfeits hardly affect anything because they only take a page or so.
