Just seeing Lee and Clementine (fanart or otherwise) just breaks my goddamn heart.

Who's the big alien on the far left? He looks like a combination between Drum and Porunga.

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I was hoping I would get some response to my last comment. It seems like it's cool to criticize DBM and Salagir but you'll get ignored if you dare question the legitimacy of that criticism
. I imagine some of the criticism here wouldn't be accepted in other fan comics and eventually the fans would ask you to leave if you keep repeating the same complaints every new page. Oh well nice page and I like the Walking Dead cameos.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
At first I thought the girl in front was Shantae but it turns out their designs differ a bit.
I'm actually a little confused here, though. So U6 is just leaving despite those girls not getting any backstory whatsoever? They've been here since the beginning and we still don't know who the hell they are.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Meh. I think it's pretty silly to tell one, let alone two, Bojack stories that have no bearing on DBM proper. That blurb implies it's about what happens to Bojack after the tournament, not a backstory like the other specials. But if it turns out that we do learn more about the girls' history then it's pretty ill timed, waiting until after they've already left to provide it.

I kind of have to agree. Even if we do finally get some backstory on those girls now, it's a little late now that they're not going to be a part of the tournament anymore, even as an audience. :/
Also, this might be a dumb question, but who the heck are these Lee and Clementine people keep talking about?

Characters from the Walking Dead video game. The guy sitting next to the naked monster dude, and the little girl sitting next to him.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I kind of have to agree. Thanks, I know there are several scenarios to how he may/should appear, heck I would buy just simply gate crashing simply because he canSkar wrote:Nice job! just like zenbuu can influence the tournament ever since he secretly tampered with the teleporter when broly got out of control. That in my opinion was foreshadowing of buu's true control over the event.
As for this page it's...it's a mini comic to me that has no importance, bojack is out of the tournament so there was no point him being there anyway, so unless it was anything other then 'were leaving' it's pretty much 'meh' to me.
Then we have that plot with those girls which won't be shown in this main comic afterall but most likely on a special. Yes a bojack special (again!) the very ones people stay away from, what was the point of having a plot resolved in an issue that is completely separate from the main entry and is generally avoided? At one point specials were just DBM's way of avoiding having to put people on wait with nothing, but now it seems required reading to learn of something? All I can say is no thank you, the kill bojack story just led to nowhere, and we learnt nothing about the girls except one played with hormones and the other changed gender. That one was a bit decent but they were random feats with no back story or development. Compare that to Eleim and his friends, their story was more developed and no special was needed to dip into their past to understand why etc.
This is salagir's way of brushing a dead-end plot under the rug.
As for the last frame, it wasn't needed, drawing references to popular characters from media can be fun but I think it's done too often and prefer they focus on the story.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I felt the same way about U6. I think the girls may have had a bigger role or at least more screen time planned but parts of the story changed so they just remained in the background without ever getting a backstory. We don't know anything about them so it makes it a little hard to care that they're leaving. In the novel, U3 Raichi sent a ghost back with the U10 Saiyans to exterminate them from that universe. That one had some importance to the tournament since Raichi is still a contestant but that story was only left to the novelization so I hope the same happens with U6's next adventure.TheBritWriter wrote:Then we have that plot with those girls which won't be shown in this main comic afterall but most likely on a special. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
My only thing is why don't those U6 girls show up in any other universes? They don't even show up in the universe I'K'L is from, but for some reason because Bojack is dominant in one universe they exist? A 3-5 page special could be done soley to explain that, and I would be satisfied. Why do they exist, and why in only one universe?
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I guess whatever happened with them in U6 caused them to be stronger than they would be in other universes. Maybe Bojack's gang invaded their planet or solar system and they trained or learned magic while in other universes they were much weaker? I heard that characters that were nearly identical weren't invited. Babidi and Dabura were probably still out there in U8, U13, and others but they were the same as they were in U11 so they only invited them from that universe. I agree it would be nice if there was some backstory for them before it shows what happened to them after they left.FoolsGil wrote:My only thing is why don't those U6 girls show up in any other universes? So Kakarott is just gonna let Kat up and leave like that? Be funny if he didn't.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.
