I dunno, things seem to be trucking along at pretty much the same pace as last time.
This was the news we got from V-Jump at this time of year in 2013:
http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2013/01/21/ba ... 13-v-jump/
The equivalent to that would be enough. It's still more than what we have now. I'm really, really hoping something appears today (it is Sunday now) about it.
The translated text from the Kanzenshuu article about BOG info from Jan 2013's issue you provided in the link wrote:
Taking Buu and Gohan by the hair, this is Birusu’s overwhelming power!! Can Goku possibly win against such a foe?
God of Destruction and Artificial Human?! Super battles between Birusu and the warriors of Earth will be made a reality one after another!!
What’s this?! That Pilaf gang has been turned into children…?!
Vegeta has met Birusu before?!
Even Vegeta is no match before Birusu!! At any rate, it appears that Birusu has an interest in the Saiyans…?!
Who is the warrior that the God of Destruction seeks?!
The F version of that would be amazingly appreciated; I hope it's in VJump this month.

I will be very disappointed if Freeza is left alive or given a semi-humorous send-off or something like that. Even if you don't care about the dreaded "canon" word, I'd have a hard time believing that the Freeza arc wouldn't be robbed of at least a little of its meaning if he were suddenly allowed to live.
That's one reason why I really hope I'm right about the "rewriting history" idea. At the end of the film, history can be restored and the status quo can return. Easy resolution.

Now that I had time to dwell on it, I am not OK with Toyble winning a contract to produce official Dragon Ball merchandise.. wasn't this guy exposed on these very forums to be a tracer? A lot of DBAF the scenes / character poses strongly appeared to be traced directly from the Dragon Ball manga.

Also the "rewritten history robs Vegeta of his children and of his relationship with Bulma so now he's fueled with motivation to take revenge on Freeza for it and return the status quo to get them back" is something I still have a fondness for wanting to see. *_*
I'd have it so Vegeta, Gokû, Beerus, and Whis remained safe from the effects of the wish because Whis shielded Beerus' planet from it.

A few were traced, but he did otherwise draw a lot of it himself. His art style changed over time, which leads me to think he stopped relying on tracing and simply improved enough to draw his own works. I'm sure this issue was dealt with when he was signed on, too.

Are you sure it was dealt with? Even Toei plagiarized music.. the game Mother 2 (Earthbound in the US) also plagiarized music and many logos. It would seem Japan has a culture of not respecting copyrights, or at least that's from my perspective, based on my limited exposure. Maybe his tracing will be encouraged?

It's not hard to look up an artist's reputation on the internet. Hell, it was probably his fan comics that got him the offer in the first place.

It was probably just the POPULARITY of his fan comic, and that's what concerned me. A decision based only on numbers, instead of integrity. It's basically showing that it's OK to steal someone else's work, as long as a lot of people like the stolen work, then your'e a shoe-in. Sorry if I sound a little bitter.

Toyble outright admitted to copying panels. It's not like it was a big secret and it isn't like he has done so in his professional work, either. None that Shueisha doesn't mind, mind you.

I wasn't aware he admitted to it. That still doesn't fully redeem him in my eyes, though.

Foolproof plan to beat Freeza in this movie
Step 1: Gather Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Pan
Step 2: Make Goku into a SSJG
Step 3: Make Vegeta into a SSJG
Step 4: FUSIONNNN-HA!
Step 5: ???
Step 6: Profit (aka, Freeza is back in Hell where he belongs)

Why would Freeza stand there and let them?

Maybe they ask for five minutes and he loses track of time.

The only way I can see Freeza getting out of this film alive is if it somehow retro-actively starts trying to tie Neko Majin back in or something...but beyond the unlikelihood of that...
Beerus winning and being alive at the end of Battle of Gods was an unexpected and very needed twist for a new DB story. The following film repeating that trend? Not so much.

Goku can turn into it without the ritual so the only one who needs it is Vegeta.
Kamiccolo9 wrote:Why would Freeza stand there and let them?
Goku will hold him off while the ritual is being done for Vegeta and eventually lose the fight which will leave earth and the rest of the universe in Vegeta's more then capable hands.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Because this is a rule in this series.
- Let your opponent power up even if he becomes stronger than you.
The only one who ignored this rule as far i remember was Future Trunks when Cell was transforming in his perfect form. Anyway, Cell jsut made him back off.
You can't ignore the rules like that, you know.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

Freeza will survive, mark my words(please don't)... I think will lead us to something new in the story.
English is not my first language!
I'm still waiting for Dragon Ball in Super...

Freeza will die in the NEXT movie. The next "Big bad" will kill him like he's a minor character.
