Goku will win because:

A) he is a much more capable fighter than Freeza, even with disadvantages; and

B) it will be far more interesting to see Goku versus Uub and then Goku versus Vegeta then having Freeza in his place.

Let us not forget he's the main character against a massively weaker character.

Yeap. Freeza winning would definitely be a surprise & a twist, but that doesn't make it a good thing for the story.

No matter how predictable it is, it's still best to see him win this.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

There are times for surprise s and they are times to just let the main charactee overcome the odds. This is Goku time.

Eh it wouldn't be different. Unless you count minions and movies. In the main series Goku haven't beaten anyone since Freeza. And most fan mangas have Goku getting his ass kicked.

Boo was defeated by the combined power of everybody on Earth. Gokū just happened to throw the thing.

He didn't beat Freeza. And even if you count Buu, he was nice enough to ask for his reincarnation :)

Yeah, he left Freeza as a barely conscious pile of flesh that's missing over half his body. I'd say that definitely qualifies as a defeat for Freeza.

Notice I'm talking about the Z era. Where you can argue Goku hardly did anything.

True, but technically Freeza did it to himself. Goku tried to warn him

That's pretty cool. I like Arcady Picardi's drawing best.

No Gogeta Jr. though? :(

It's a shame if he feels like that. One page of congratulations to an old friend is too much? ah well, c'est la vie.

Congrats and all to Saligir and his team. For all the shit they get,(especially around here) mass upon mass of dragonball fans show up to the dbm site 3 times a week for what, five years? They are doing something right.
