I still hope that Freeza will win this. I guess Freeza will hold off Goku until he reaches old age and dies.

I doubt Freeza is going to win. Goku will find a way to win in the last minute and boom. If Freeza does manage pull a victory, well...Hellspawn28 wrote:I still hope that Freeza will win this. I guess Freeza will hold off Goku until he reaches old age and dies.

I think Freeza wining would be nice for a change since everyone thinks that the final round is going to be Goku vs. XXl. Don't forget when everyone thought that Vegeta would beat Raichi when he end up losing.

That wasn't the main universe's Vegeta though.

People think that!? And I don't see how Goku losing is a nice change. It's HARDLY a chance. Who's everyone? Say the majority because I certainly predicted Raichi beating Vegeta but Vegeta will get SSJ3Hellspawn28 wrote:I think Freeza wining would be nice for a change since everyone thinks that the final round is going to be Goku vs. XXl. Hmm, for SSJ2 not to work, how weak does Goku need to be in base? Like at most he is 110,000 now.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Between the rapid aging (which is clearly putting Goku beyond the "Saiyans rapidly get older and weaker once they're out of their prime" age) and the lack of air, this is basically an amped-up version of the "sick Goku can't keep up against Android 19" scenario, except Goku's got a few more tricks up his sleeve now than he did back then... and Freeza's not getting any stronger, Goku's just getting weaker. I'm thinking that will be Freeza's downfall here--if he gets hurt badly enough, or if Goku keeps up long enough to make Freeza get panicky, he might not be able to keep up the level of concentration required to keep this trick going... and once Goku is back to normal Freeza is utterly screwed.
Well yeah, that's pretty much what would happen if it was Piccolo in Goku's place. Namekians don't get cold easily (...though I doubt the cold is really that much of a factor here...), probably don't need as much air as a human or Saiyan going by how it seems like pretty much every alien race is more tolerant of low-air conditions than humans/Saiyans are (though he'd still need more than Freeza's species of course, so that part would effect him after a while), and it's established that Namekians take a looooong time to grow old enough to start experiencing any weakening effects--and Piccolo is only a few years older than Gohan, so Freeza wouldn't last long enough to see that happen. Piccolo would just be like "oh, now I've got a few new wrinkles on my face and those pink things on my arm are going yellow? hmm" and kill Freeza instantly anyway just like nothing had changed. XD

His SS1 could be a tenth of its regular strength and still be enough to one-shot Freeza.rereboy wrote:Because Goku is now very old, he is suffocating and he is numbed by the cold. His SSJ2 in these conditions is weaker than even his regular SSJ1.SSJ God Gogeta wrote:

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I think Panatlones got it covered, though I would also add that Piccolo would be less likely to want to enjoy this fight, whereas Goku - despite the trouble he's in now - is no doubt loving every minute of it on some level. Why end his fun prematurely now that Freeza's made it interesting?
That, and, again...Mr. Satan has survived punches from people far stronger than him. Bulma's head didn't go flying off when Beerus slapped her. I dunno where this concept that 'drastically stronger person even pokes weaker person, their bodies go splodey' is coming from, but that's never once been the case in the series.

Satan has never been hit by anyone stronger than him. His stomach ache only prevented him from finishing Cell off, it didn't decrease his durability.Gyt Kaliba wrote:That, and, again...Mr. Satan has survived punches from people far stronger than him. Beerus is irrelevant since he's from a movie. But he was holding back massively anyway. Goku has zero reason to be holding back, given that he just went SS3 in an attempt to end. No, you're wrong there, that's happened many, many times in the series. Roshi KO'd Yamcha by waving a hand in his general direction. Kami KO'd Goku by flicking him. Gohan made a Cell Jr explode with a backhand slap. Tao killed Blue by poking him... with his tongue. Recoome crippled Krillin with a casual kick while trying to hold back. And so on.

^It obviously means that Goku aged so much already that his base form is weak enough to make SSJ and SSJ2 weaker than Freeza.

How could Goku possibly lose so much? It's never implied at any point in the manga that simply aging causing you to lose power so rapidly. Piccolo Daimao was aged into a geezer while doing zero training and he barely lost any power.mAcChaos wrote:^It obviously means that Goku aged so much already that his base form is weak enough to make SSJ and SSJ2 weaker than Freeza.

I think the interesting question is, if Goku does win, what then? Will they find a way to fix him before his next fight?
