Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This should be one of the darkest chapters in the entry but instead its akin to watching the boxer who never had a chance and instead of seeing an entertaining fight, forced to seeing him just cower against incoming blows till the timer stops. It is that uninteresting, its a very simple concept. Buu absorbs two characters and wins, the end.
eight pages (not counting the cover) and 'buugeta' who had absorbed since the second page is still toying around with Goku? The appeal of this is lost, not because Goku will lose, that's obvious but in how it drags out this scenario, there's just no tension due to the length of a very dragged out fight, which didn't need to be dragged out to begin with.

I agree. At this rate, we'll have like two pages after the fight showing Buu's "rebirth" (that's the title, not "Buu joking around, punching Goku, and oh, he sorta absorbs people)TheBritWriter wrote:This should be one of the darkest chapters in the entry but instead its akin to watching the boxer who never had a chance and instead of seeing an entertaining fight, forced to seeing him just cower against incoming blows till the timer stops. Keep in mind, i don't know when the fight will end. But if it's not over in 8-10 pages. I'll bang my head against the wall.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Still a million times better than better than "Cell kills everyone in unnecessarily gory ways" or "Bojack kills everyone with his dreaded Super Ugly Art powers."
I'm guessing Goku's SSj3 will run out soon (since he's using it in his living body like vs. Kid Buu) and that'll be it for him. Though I wonder... whatever happened to Kaioshin/Kibito trying to distract Buu from the outside to give Goku a chance? He seemed to think he'd actually be of some help against Buu after fusing with Kibito, so it must've been a significant boost even though it didn't put him anywhere near the "Goku and Vegeta fusions" level of power... is he still so weak he can't even manage that? Or is that going on right now and that's why Goku is... sorta kinda almost putting up a fight, rather than losing immediately?

What's with the random pages being colored?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Hmm,
Ah new page. The kick looks a bit odd angled, though if I were to be nitpik I would say doing a back kick (or the way our Mr Kai does it here) has little power in it. I'm not faulting that he finally shows up but I think he could had attacked in a more efficient manner, other then using an impractical kick under the rule of cool.
I'm impressed with the colouring though.
Yes that's true, honestly that was chapter was overly brutal and disturbing, and the bojack one, is there anyone in the team that says 'This is a bad idea or the guy who's drawing this can't draw for his life' because if there isn't then there needs to be!Pantalones wrote:Still a million times better than better than "Cell kills everyone in unnecessarily gory ways" or "Bojack kills everyone with his dreaded Super Ugly Art powers."

It seems Kibitoshin decided that learning the Kienzan was not worth his time, being a "mortal technique."

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Would it? For all we know that Kienzan would go straight through where Goku is and hit him in the process.TheBritWriter wrote:Ironic as that would give goku the opening he needed!FoolsGil wrote:It seems Kibitoshin decided that learning the Kienzan was not worth his time, being a "mortal technique."
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The odds are against that happening, considering how big Buu's body is, and how small Goku is.BlazingBarrrager wrote:Would it? Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Unlikely yes, but not impossible. None the less, I'm guessing Kibitoshin was acting on impulse and wasn't really thinking of an effective tactic to do.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Well, kick could also potentially squashed Goku, so... i might be wrong, but, shouldn't Kibitoshin be more powerful than SSJ3 Goku and Super/Kid Buu? He was pretty confident he could help taking down Gotenks Buu, and I'm sure he would be careful to not let himself absorbed

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
In the official manga, he is treated like he's not as useful as SSJ2 Vegeta, so, despite his fusion, his power must not have increased much.coola wrote:Well, kick could also potentially squashed Goku, so... i might be wrong, but, shouldn't Kibitoshin be more powerful than SSJ3 Goku and Super/Kid Buu? The art for that last panel is great.

Isn't the joke that Kibitoshin is trying to distract Buu with physical blows?Vegitofaxx wrote:Kinda dissapointed there's no April Fools joke...
