Hey, guys. I went and saw the movie in LA. The whole event was a blast. If you wanna check out my video where I ramble about it, the first couple minutes are spoiler free and I warn you very clearly before I go into 20 minutes of spoiler heavy talk.

If it's not to much trouble could you describe Vegeta's fight in detail ?

That was Kirbopher answering the question about Sorbet and Tagoma, haha.
I can't believe Torishima was there! Truly a world premiere. Thanks for the coverage!
Oh, and there's an interview with Masako Nozawa here for anyone interested.

I'm guessing it'll be the first of many that more-or-less use the same questions and answers

He said it was animation that looks bad, not is bad. The technical animation is good but it's rather clear that it really doesn't look good at all. It would only look good on a comedy and that moment is supposed to be very dramatic.shinmaru wrote:Mewzard wrote:You wouldn't even notice those problems in animation. I know I've mentioned this quite a bit before, but while there are plenty of things that, on paper, have served to anger various factions in the fandom... it's still a fun movie to watch through. There are numerous nits to pick, if one is inclined to pick them, but the rage I've seen here and elsewhere is overblown.

Just got home from seeing it and I loved it. Feels much faster paced and gave me a better first impression than BoG.
Although, I do agree with Julian on the podcast that there were times it went a bit too fast and some scenes could have been fleshed out a lot more. This is definitely a movie that would benefit from an extended edition.
My highlights:
- Everyone gets their moment to shine, including Tenshinhan and Roshi.
- Jaco is Awesome.
- SSJ God Goku vs. Freeza = AWESOME.
- SSJ God Vegeta vs. Freeza = MORE AWESOME.
I'll be posting video coverage of the event soon and Mike will most likely post it on the front page when it's done.
I saw on dbzf , that one guy who saw it said golden friza was acc stronger than goku and blue SSGSS goku stalled on purpose ? But then I don't get how Goku could've finished him so easy with one kamehmaeha ? So is Freeza stronger or ?
And how's Vegeta SSGSS ?
Golden Freeza > Super Cyan Goku
Goku purposely stalled for time to weaken Freeza. Freeza was kicking his a***!

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I think it's just all tied to the sheer currency of the movie. I'm sure if Dragonball was the global phenomenon it is today and the communication platforms were even remotely comparable back when the previous movies were released in the 1990s, the controversies would have been equally as marked.SaiyaJedi wrote:There are numerous nits to pick, if one is inclined to pick them, but the rage I've seen here and elsewhere is overblown.
There's this sense of everything Dragonball pre-Battle of Gods (and to some extent, the JSat Special) being this locked, cultural fossil, set in stone. Whilst certain in-Universe issues continue to spark debate, they have always felt somewhat academic and grounded against the fixed medium of an un-changing set of historical documents. New stuff is scary, there's a sense of flux, uncertainty, of shifting sands and moving goal-posts, and I think that the Dragonball fandom just isn't used to it, so points of controversy are, like everything in Dragonball Z, subject to gross power-ups.

As I've made mention in the thread a few days ago, Resurrection F is coming to theatres on May 21st in Hong Kong. Here's the Hong Kong trailer complete with Chinese and English subtitles. Yeah...they spelled it as "Fri-eza".

Yes, it's basically in-between animation which historically is never as good as the first, last or any other important frames of animation in a scene. "Key" frames such as A1 or and END frame are always the most collectible in cel collecting because they're the important frames that the eye catches and the movement between them is usually of varying quality. This is true in all of DBZ. But it doesn't even look that bad!sintzu wrote:You won't notice this when the scene is moving.vegitot wrote:very, very good art. Freeza's leg and Goku's had are incredible.

Movie looks GOOD
Plot seems BETTER than before
and I do think this is some sort of training/learning curve for Goku and Vegeta leading up to the third movie

Ok correct me if I'm wrong here but from what I understand Golden Freeza gives Goku a hard time before his stamina runs low right?
The power increase from that golden form is impressive if it allows Freeza, who could barely keep up with normal Goku in his fourth form, to have the edge over a god powered super saiyan.

You see, what's happening in those shots is that they are moving with so much force that the fabric of space-time is being distorted around them causing them to appear that way
