Also, a mInicomic Wednesday + Cover Page Friday means we won't get any actual content until next Sunday. Can never read DBM without complaining about pacing issues.

To be fair even in the new movies SSJ3 are quickly becoming irrelevant.

Except DBM ignores the new movies, so SSJ3 is still the strongest canon Super Saiyan form yet Salagir nerfs the form even more by making it an impractical transformation. It's also used in an asspull with U13 Vegeta vs. Raichi's match where the former somehow manages to transform into the state by simply thinking about the other users despite being a total mess. Granted it didn't win him the match, but it was still an asspull.

Another asspull/favoritism moment was when U16 Bra kills U6 Zangya in a fit of rage DESPITE THE FACT THAT VEGETTO TOLD HER HE WOULD DROP HER FROM THE TOURNEY IF SHE DID SO and being told that she "passed." Not only was this a BS move, but Salagir went further by having Goku/Vegeta wondering if she is stronger than them. Seriously the guy sometimes do things simply for favoritism instead of actual writing.

Wait, I'm not defending anything in DBM. I know all the bullshit this fanmanga does and I don't really care about it anymore. The U13 Vegeta turning SSJ3 is one of the thing I really hate about this manga. U16 Bra is the thing I hate the most so you don't have to explain it to me. I understand this but making a big thing out of this doesn't do anything to change the story. Making Goku and Vegeta become SSGSS wouldn't happen because the whole powerlevel they had planned out until now would just crumble.

Well, that's that. If there was to be another special in this universe, I'd hope it would be the Old Kai gathered any remaining fighters from all of the universe, and released their potentials to stop Buu. Of course if there is never another special again about this universe, I'm good.

Let's be honest, Buu has always been like that. Fat Buu only stopped committing destruction because he was asked nicely. On one hand, in a way he wasn't in charge of his own actions, always listening to other people. On the other, has no idea what right and wrong even is.

By the time of DBM's tournament, this Buu has seemingly become much more calm and stoic. (Well, except when he became really angry that one time.)

Unless that "tantrum" was merely a front to give him more freedom to move around much like how when he couldn't absorb Broli in the end he simply congratulates U16 Bra, Gohan, and Vegetto and walks away. Really it's hard to read what this guy's true motives are.

Eh, to me, as regular Super Buu, he was more like a mindless beast than an actual psychopath, so I didn't feel as much of an emotional attachment to him. And by the time he got more intelligent, we didn't actually get to spend a lot of time with him before Vegetto came in and completely humilated him. And as Fat Buu, well, I actually thought some of the things he did were pretty creepy as well (like eating people)...But at the same time, he was also like a little kid who didn't know any better. In fact, he was even willing to stop when he was asked nicely by Mr. Satan, who was basically his foster dad at that point, so that definitely was a little more relatable and human.

THIS though? With this Buu? It's really kind of chilling the things he'll do to people like Bulma with the kind of carefree attitude he has. Like, at least with Fat Buu, you could reason with him, but with this guy? You could literally be clowning around having a blast one minute, and then the next minute WHOOP, there goes your wife! And then he'd act like nothing happened at all, like he has no respect whatsoever for people's feelings...it's just that combination where he's monstrous enough to be scary, and yet he's just human enough that you can't write him off as a mindless beast. And when you can't write him off as a mindless beast, then it becomes really scary to think of just what kind of thoughts go through his head that he can feel absolutely nothing about doing something so awful...

You know what I mean? Am I making sense? I know I'm really over-analyzing a comic strip, but still.

He sorta acts like a psychopathic Goku. Much like how Goku would goof around and then be ultra serious when fighting.

I agree with you. It's less jarring when a character is totally evil or beast-like because it's either less realistic or seems more natural (beast-like behavior is a natural behavior). A character like Buu, who is monstrous but also "human", hits close to the real "monsters" of the world and we recognize that instinctively.

However, that only really happens if we take him pretty seriously. If we relax and take in the character and the story, he's more fun that anything else. It's kind of like Deadpool. If you take Deadpool seriously, you quickly become uncomfortable with him... but if you relax, you just have fun.

Until we see that actually happen, it's still up to debate. For all we know, Vegetto has a new power up that even surpass his old one. Anything could happen in this.
