I can agree w/ that unless DBMV wants to be like every other fanfiction and have Vegeta beat Goku.

I don't think there will be a proper winner of the tournament, it will probably be a big team match in the final.

Vegeta's gonne be in one of the final fights for sure along with XII, I REALLY want Gast to be in there too, but if he ends up fighting Bra the odds are not in his favor.

The only reason Bra has better odds is author favoritism. Gast is freaken powerful in his own right, especially since he was able to stop Zen Buu's "rampage" by himself without any effort. Hell his expression alone showed it was nothing more than a nuisance to him. Oh, and don't say "he was getting beat by Piccolo badly." He was purposely taking hits for the sake of a challenge (something that he called Goten on when the latter wondered why he didn't rip his ears off).

It's not clear at all if Gast stopped him. For all we know, Buu didn't put up a real fight since he planned that outcome all along.

Even if it is a front, that was still some impressive power on Gast's part.

I know full well Bra's relevance only comes from favoritism, but I hope the writer lets go of that this one and either 1) lets Gast win, letting go of the favoritism or 2) has her win not by virtue of BS power but actually earning it through a hard won battle.

If anything I want this to be a good battle that will force Bra to go SSJ2. As my character Saphi would put it, "It's disrespectful to not give it your all when your opponent is." I mean granted it wouldn't apply to very weak opponents, but to someone as strong as Gast yeah it would be disrespectful.

He's very impressive, but he seems to rely more on techniques and abilities than just raw power. He considered Vegetto to have "infinite strength, but strength is nothing". Imo, the raw power of Vegetto is much bigger than the one he has, but he is skilled enough to believe he can fight against such an opponent.

Well, actually Gast seems to be more or less in the DBM!SSJ2 tier - we know for a fact that he isn't more powerful (in terms of pure strength) then Cold.

And that makes him quite weaker then Bra since u4!Buu makes it clear that, in order to stand a chance against Bra, Cold has to make her accept some limitations (i.e. she'd overwhelm him with sheer strength):

That was how powerful he was during his universe's Freeza Saga equivalent, not how powerful he is now...

Yeah, that was decades ago. Gast beat a Cell Jr that was stronger than Super Perfect Cell with just raw power in the tournament and he was stated to have beaten Cell and Buu in his own universe. He clearly got stronger.
