Had TFS come in and dub over the tournament reenactment video part. That's my guess.

So it's "small but noteworthy" and it's something people will be discussing for a while.
And it's something that you guys seem to be happy about and makes the dub worth watching.

This makes me think it's not about the actual dubbing itself because I can't think of any noteworthy reason to be happy about the dub other than the fact that it will be good, like it was for Kai 1.0. But that's not really noteworthy nor would it be a hot topic of discussion. And if it's some kind of alteration in the dialogue/plot, then I don't think you guys would be happy about it since it's not true to the original.

So my theory is that it has something to do with either the opening, music, or video.
1.) Maybe we'll get Ku-zen-zetsu-go. Maybe, they'll keep using Dragon Soul! Actually these don't seem likely because they wouldn't be universally appreciated.
2.) Maybe we'll get a new composer. This is probably not likely because it's more of a polarizing thing, rather than something that people will definitely like.
3.) Maybe the video won't have a green tint. Or maybe.....just maybe.....it will be in 4:3! I'm starting to believe in one of these because both would probably be universally appreciated.

I'm hoping it's something at least a little more noteworthy than that. Maybe getting the "Ocean" actors to dub it instead? Now that would be cool.

Well, if it's something that happens only in the dub, I guess we can rule out the possibilities that they got the broadcast version's opening and endings.

That would be pretty funny. I can already hear ABED's rage bubbling if this is the case.

Maybe they pronounce Saiyan correctly now?

If they finally nailed the proper pronounciation of Saiyan I'd watch the entirety of Kai 2.0 in English but guess not.. That'd be expecting too much cause you'd have fanboys saying "why your saying saiyan wrong???".

So I suppose that this whole secrecy that Paladin has about Kai 2.0 is solely about the FUNimation dub which doesn't affect the video quality or music in anyway, except if they dub the OP/ED too (I'd love it!).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Did they get Yūko Minaguchi (who's living in the US now) to play 4-year old Pan in the last (two?) episodes?

It has to be about the voice work itself, so it will be interesting. FUNi really need to announce this soon, I'm thinking Anime Expo in July - which happens to be the same weekend "Super" is rumoured to start, as Kai finishes the week before.

That would've been my second guess. Especially if they finished most of it last year.

That would be adorable.

Of course, now my expectations are high. Hot damn, when was the last time something got me pumped for the dub?

It's not completely out of the realm of possibility, since she DID do a cameo role on a Pokémon movie dub.

I hope FUNi give us at least 2 parts before the end of the year. They've kept us waiting long enough. Anime Expo is the same weekend as Super is rumoured to debut in Japan.
I think it would be an opportunity for them to announce it then, to capitalize on the hype. If we're very lucky, they may even give us a double announcement, being they've licensed Super, and will simulcast it

How many International Kai episodes are there between the events of Z 200 and halfway through 211 (more specifically, when the Trunks vs. Goten fight starts)?

Could the extra episode be the 2008 ova ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

What do you mean by extra episode? :eh:

I'm pretty sure there won't be footage from any of the newer produced stuff. It would clash way too much with the older animation. On top of that, it isn't in the manga.

He means the final episode. It appears the Japanese version cuts one more episode.
