Which countries have home releases of Kai and BOG?
I'm finding watching Kai and Battle of Gods in different languages very interesting and fun and was wondering which countries actually have home releases of one or both of them? I've got the Japanese and English home releases of both and am working on the French releases. I also have the Hong Kong release of BOG. In what other languages have they been released?

A disc that stores audio and video. Basically, it's vaguely similar to DVD (and apparently it pre-dated DVD by about five years). It didn't really take off, except in a few niche markets, most of which were Asian.Naruto6583 wrote:What is vcd?
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

VCD is Video CD:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_CD
It's...a CD. Apparently doesn't even allow for as much resolution as VHS.

It's...a CD. Apparently doesn't even allow for as much resolution as VHS.
Video specifications
Codec: MPEG-1
Resolution:
NTSC: 352x240
PAL/SECAM: 352x288
Aspect Ratio:
NTSC: 4:3
PAL/SECAM: 4:3
Framerate:
NTSC: 29.97 or 23.976 frames per second
PAL/SECAM: 25 frames per second
Bitrate: 1,150 kilobits per second
Rate Control: constant bitrate
Although many DVD video players support playback of VCDs, VCD video is only compatible with the DVD-Video standard if encoded at 29.97 frames per second or 25 frames per second.
The 352x240 and 352x288 (or SIF) resolutions were chosen because it is half the horizontal and vertical resolution of NTSC video, and half the horizontal resolution of PAL (the vertical resolution of PAL already being half of the 576 active lines). This is approximately half the resolution of an analog VHS tape which is ~330 horizontal and 480 vertical (NTSC) or 330x576 (PAL).
Audio specifications
Codec: MPEG-1 Audio Layer II
Sample Frequency: 44,100 hertz (44.1 kHz)
Output: Dual channel or stereo
Bitrate: 224 kilobits per second
Rate Control: Constant bitrate
As with most CD-based formats, VCD audio is incompatible with the DVD-Video standard due to a difference in sampling frequency; DVDs require 48 kHz, whereas VCDs use 44.1 kHz.

Kazé Anime announced their acquisition of the first 98 episodes of Dragon Ball Kai in Germany today. The first of six Blu-ray/DVD boxes is scheduled for release in September 2015.

Thailand has Dragon Ball Kai on VCD as well, and also Battle of Gods on Blu Ray. And about the Argentina DVD, does it contain Spanish only, or Catalan and Euskera as well?

They didn't say yet. Universum Anime's releases almost always include the original audio with German subtitles. Kazé usually includes subs if they ordered the dub themselves (which should be the case with Kai).sangofe wrote:

They announced it but it's yet to be released so it's a bit of false advertisement to put with the others without a sign, such as, "Yet to be released" or so.kei17 wrote:Kai:
