Finding out that this didn't happen in Universe 5 is somewhat significant. It means XXI wreaked havoc a long time ago. Also, this couldn't have happened in Universe 1 either since Freeza and Coola were killed as kids in that one special.

Seems like this page was written for someone who has never seen Cooler's movies or read the Freeza arc.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Real Cooler was actually not annoyed by Freeza but only dub Cooler so how that helps for movies I do not know.

Or just doesn't give a shit about either.

I'm not surprised that Cooler's movie is ignored, but the blatant contradiction in the Freeza arc is pretty funny.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I love Freeza and Cooler getting all flustered over King Cold giving them a lecture.

Its funny but I wish there was more formality to the way Cold speaks. I think him calling them imbeciles instead of morons would've fit better but that's a nitpick.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

How come? The page you are talking about happened before planet Vegeta was destroyed.

What is the contradiction?

Never pegged Freeza as the type to spar. I always thought he saw fighting as beneath him which is partly what pissed him off so much on Namek, being forced to get his hands dirty.

Also a ton of time in-between this and when we see Freeza in DBZ.

I didn't think I would like this (not being a Coola fan and all) but I'm starting to dig this special.

I would like a special where it's up to your interpretation on what universe it takes place in. Would be very fun to guess and work out theories.
