Considering the backlash Xbox One Fail is getting and the state of the series, it would be suicide to that.
Xbox One is only getting bad backlash now because the conference was clearly for non gamers and to introduce the system. E3 will tell us all about both X1 and the PS4.

Also the new DBZ game will be for current gen. This is the time of year we get that last great DBZ game of an era. I predict this might be Spike's last game and will be a Tenkachi 3 squeal or killer.

It would be nice if Bandai made Dimps and Spike co work on the game.
The backlash is mostly coming from the new anti-consumer policies MS will attach to and built into the system.

Sometimes things will sound good on paper but end up awful. It seems like most fans on the web really fan wank him most of the times. It reminds me how Godzilla fans on the web are with Matt Frank's artwork.
I'm mixed about some of his stuff. His art direction is great and that's my favorite thing about his ideas. I also liked his giant boss battle ideas and his attention to controls. My biggest complaint is that he thinks too much inside of the box Spike gave him. I understand where he's coming from but I really think it's time to let go of the Tenkaichi/RB set up. I'd be more supportive of his ideas if he was more creative with his game design. In short art=great; gameplay direction=slightly better than norm.

I put no stock in Treevax at all. I see him as no more than a cheerleader for DBZ devs.

The question was, "What was wrong with the fighting style we had in Tenkaichi 3 exactly?" The way you answered it looked contradicting. Basically you are sick of BT3's fighting style, but you go on to say that hasn't been topped yet.
I'm sick of a fighting system that's been done to death by this point. I was also trying to get across that they haven't genuinely improved said system since 2007.

Overall I don't really mind that style but it would be nice to see a new take. And by new take, I don't mean Roshambo the game now including Gokuu and friends.

I hate to bring it up but

'Tenkaichi fans said Raging blast was the same fighting as Tenkaichi3 and it didn't sell well.

UT didn't sell well.

Budokai 4 or Tenkachi 4 with a large number of characters is what NB needs to get some sales and move to next gen systems.

While I would love a Ten 4 in HD with 200+ characters I also know how other fans are feeling about the DBZ games but will a new system this late in the game sale or should NB go with a sure thing. Ten 4 is the most requested game right now and Budokai 4 is a close second.

Let's get one of these games out first and then for next gen NB can use Dimps for year 1, SPike for year 2 and fine a new developer that gets 2 t o 3 years on a new DBZ game for next gen.

That has been suggested to them many times and the answer is always no because it would mean increased dev costs. Though the fact they gave Spike or whoever potentially two years so far for deving means they may have changed their minds some but not enough to do a dev switch style.

I'd say give it to dimps then. SPike has proved that Tenkaichi and characters is where they max out at. Dimps could attempt something new for next gen.

Question is if Dimps even wants to become the main maker of home console dbz fighters again.

Children buy Dragon Ball games too. We're at a point in which there are children that would buy these games that weren't alive when the Budokai/Budokai Tenkaichi games were released. Using those names, and attaching a "4" to both is a sales deterrent to new audiences.

As well, we've passed our annual V-JUMP reveal date. dun dun dun

I did think about that, and what it would do to the new fans who aren't children too. I just wish they saved the name UT because that way, if it does end up being a BT/RB game, they wouldn't alienate the new fans. They could always come up with a good name though. :)

I just like to add really quick to the conversation above ^

It's already happening. There are people on youtube who make gameplay videos of Raging Blast 2. They are playing for the 1st time and acting as if they've never heard or played Tenkaichi 3 before saying stuff like "This is the greatest dbz game ever! I never seen a dbz game like this before! You guys should go pick this up at gamestop, its only like $30!"

And I'm thinking to myself....seriously? Wow thats how fast the Tenkaichi games fell off the mainstream. I also think too that calling it Tenkaichi 4 would be redundant at his point. Just call it Raging Blast 3 or something and call it a day.

Most fans remembered Tenkaichi and the younger ones will buy anything with the name DBZ on it. Sparking Omega was a huge hit when it was announced though. Final Tenkaichi would be a good name for the game.

Well, seeing how this is quite possibly the last game of Dragon Ball for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Namco Bandai should make it worthwhile so that both sides would be in a win-win situation.

If Namco Bandai could include Dragon Ball: Advance Adventure as a bonus game in it, I'd love it. It reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog from the Sega Mega Drive in Sonic Generations (requires to gain rings through the stages and then used them at the store to purchase the bonus game), though, it's unlikely for NB to even think about it.

Dimps' Burst Limit 2 showed that it had a sequel but let's just be honest, Dimps reached Budokai's limit long time ago with Budokai 3 & IW (B3.5), so they're sort of done with it now. However, if they could develop a Dragon Ball game like Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle gameplay style it would vary from the normal fighting stages, but having both in the same game would be great nevertheless.

They [Dimps] still have a chance at making something new & different whereas Spike has already shown what they're capable of.

I don't think we'll ever get a "Tenkaichi 4" ever. The spirit of the franchise has moved on to Raging Blast so by now technically this new game would be Tenkaichi 7. That's not counting Spikes Ultimate Tenkaichi and Kinect game. If they were to do another Raging Blast styled game, it would be just that...a Raging Blast game. That's the established franchise this gen and these are the new mechanics the franchise uses. There will never be a Tenkaichi 4, with Tenkaichi controls. The only thing I can see them doing, because it's what they've been trying to do for 2 years I guess, is going back to the drawing board and coming up with something completely new. And honestly it's for the better. If they do it right, there is potential for this new series to grow into something even better than BT3. If they are even making a new game.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I see no point on waiting on news since it's almost June and nothing has shown up. I think we will wait until July and see what happens. If nothing shows by July then maybe we will have to wait until the Tokyo Game Show and that we won't see the game until 2014. I'm okay with no console DBZ game this year.

Why would Trevax lie? That would look bad for his image, so people wouldn't trust him.

Trevax isn't a very reliable source but it's the closest thing to something of a source.
