I keep checking news for an english version.
It's not going to happen is it

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
It's gonna be awhile, at least couple of years. If you're desperate to play, join the Taiwanese version. It's really easy to register.SSJmole wrote:I keep checking news for an english version. It's not going to happen is it

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
As the time progresses, I doubt there will be an english version also as the Japanese is still nonexistant.
And as I'm leveling trough the Taiwanese version, I don't know if I'll have the time and mood to go trough it again.

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
Is anyone here playing the Taiwanese version? I could use some help... I've made it to level 24 solo, but the quests are becoming more and more about facing strong groups that annihilate me on sight. I've asked for help in game, but everyone just ignores me, so I could use some comrades. lol

Question: Can you freely attack like in DCU Online or do you just point and click on your target?

Where'd you get the Taiwanese version? I'm pretty fluent in Chinese (can read/speak) and was wondering where I can get this game. And what are the specific specs required for this game?
The world is your's.

The official Taiwanese Wasabii website. I can't link you or anything right now though, I'm on my iPod. Everything including the specs are on the site though, so a short google search would suffice.tinlunlau wrote:Where'd you get the Taiwanese version? Hi! I'm playing. You need some help with quest? I can't f**kin' defeat the Red Ribbon convoy in forest and there wasn't much quests, so I'm not playing anymoreTheDevilsCorpse wrote:The official Taiwanese Wasabii website. Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
lol I'm currently level 40 with my Poko and 41 with my Fighter. I do need some people to team up with me for Time Machine Quests, but otherwise I'm doing fairly good on my own. A party would make things much easier, but it isn't so bad.
I was going to make a KanzenshuuEX guild if I ever rounded up enough members from here, but it doesn't seem there is a lot of interest.

Well, I'm kinda bored by this game, currently playing Blazblue, Street Fighter and Arkham City......
Other than this, looks like no one is interested. Except for this girl Bura! I have her in friends list and she's from Daizex.

I admit it isn't the most exciting game. lolMCDaveG wrote:Other than this, looks like no one is interested. Except for this girl Bura! I have her in friends list and she's from Daizex.
I'm really only playing it because I was working on Dragon Ball rewrite project (not sure if it will keep going with the PIPA and SOPA crap), and I was going to cover a DBO portion. I've been traveling around so I can experience the plot first hand, as well as looking for all the little easter eggs I can find (there are more than i expected).

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
It is possible that I will love this game, but well, the language barrier is a big handicap for me.
I will enjoy the repetitive quests of killing 16 chickens or thugs a lot more if the farmer will say to me: They are destroying my field with potatoes, plesase stop them, I will give you dragon ball!!
But as I can't read nor speak Chinese, the game is storyless for me, so I can't really enjoy it to the full.

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
The thunder of this game died for the US fans when it turned out to be a grind fest and the fact that thew are taking forever to do a English version if they ever do one. I am just done with mmo's in general. To me they are just grind fests only that you keep pouring money into it. I get enough of that with comsole rpgs as it is.
Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
I'm waiting for the English version (which might never come out...)

I'm playing fine with the English patch. There is a very good forum for this game(dbocom.com). It has skills translations, and you can ask help in places you don't know what to do, and has English speaking guilds.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Forgot to mention this.
DBO is up for some award thing, and the winner supposedly gets a PS360 port. So, I guess those of you wanting console versions can vote by following the instructions on the page: http://dbo.wasabii.com.tw/DB_Notice/not ... px?K=15839 (Google Translate will be more than enough to fill in any gaps.)

It's not a PS3/XB360 DBO port. It's just wining a PS3/XB360, it has nothing to do with DBO coming to the consoles.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Forgot to mention this.

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
Are there any more information revealed in these past months? About Miira or the fate of the original characters?
Also for those who play the game how difficult/easy is it to have the game up and running? Akin to install mods or something?

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
The patches are downloading pretty slowly, and my ISP is far from the slowest. I didn't play DBO for like half a year, so I believe there have been even more patches.
Interestingly, in DBO I had FPS drops with a lot of people around on my pretty decent machine. In Aion, which has much better graphics, I had like 100 FPS around many people. So the performance of DBO is pretty weak.
