At least one of the Death Note movies did a limited release that featured the dub one night and the sub the next, iirc. As much as Funi pushes their dub, though, my hopes for a (Steve Simmons, hopefully) subbed release in theaters is low. Still, though, I'm there for this as long as a theater within 70 miles gets it for that Saturday showing. If i could make a 60+ mile trip for Evolution I'm pretty much obligated to go see this.

No-one said anything about it screening at a convention. The dates happen to line up, but I haven't seen anything like that mentioned.

The third Eva rebuild movie got a screening at Otakon. I hope they screen the movie there too. I take it that Fox has nothing to do with the movie's release which does not surprise me.

I'm really hoping this will be dubbed. I've already seen it subbed so I'd rather it be dubbed this time.

Also I know it's only from August 5th-8th, but by the comments here it looks like only a certain theaters as well. Is this true?

Edit: and is it the extended version? The extended verison was out for a little while before it got licensed IIRC
