Would definitely be a homage to the upcoming movie considering Goku won't go Super Saiyan in it.

Knowing Salagir and his BS tier system, I'm sure he's made it so anyone in U18 could take Freeza.

Er... Actually his tier system is basically no base tier will be able to take on SSJ tier, no SSJ tier will be able to take on SSJ2 tier, and no SSJ2 tier will be able to take on SSJ3 tier, except fusions and special cases (like Bra and Mystic Gohan).

So... According to his "BS" tier system, its actually the opposite of what you are saying. And I fail to see what is BS about it, seems perfectly logical. Even Battle of Gods stated that base Goku isn't Namek SSJ tier, so...

My guess is that if Salagir wants it to be a somewhat close fight, Freeza will figure out a way of using his cooler-like transformation and he will be close enough to SSJ Goku's level to provide a entertaining fight to SSJ Goku, since Cooler has already implied in the tournament that if Freeza figures it out he would easily be stronger than Cooler.

Or he'll make Freeza look like a total joke (again) and one shot him like his last two opponents.

That'd match the common "rule of three" cliche, and fit Nappa's comment about Freeza never getting to land a single hit in the tournament (despite winning his first two matches).

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Would kind of suck. Goku as of yet did jack in this tourney, excluding crowning moments of awesome outside of fights. Even Vegeta got to mess around with Mirai for awhile.

Just curious but do you mean the last three chapters were good and this one is just better or this is only the only good page in the past three chapters?
BlazingBarrrager wrote:I just hope U18 (aka the original manga cast) get more screen time than U16, because the latter sure has been hogging for a while.
In the past three tournament chapters (not including flashbacks since Vegetto wasn't gone in those) Goku appeared in 10 pages and Vegetto in 7. I think in the future we'll be seeing more of U18 since they still have four contestants in the tournament while U16 only has one. The reason why Vegetto got more of the spotlight early on in the story was because he literally was Goku and Vegeta and one of the strongest in the tournament. Once he lost he sorta became a background character who comments every now and then.

To be honest this feels like one of those occasions where someone is looking for anything to criticize DBM. The characters in U18 aren't much stronger than they were during the Buu saga and back then pretty much every Z fighter could defeat Frieza besides the normal humans. In DBM the only way a normal human stands a chance against one of the Frost Demons is with Kaioken.

About the BS tier system, it just a simple way to rank the characters without having to use exact numbers. The PL system in the manga was pretty useless because the scale it used was never consistent. It didn't really tell you anything other than "guy with higher PL > guy with lower PL". Everyone in the same tier isn't necessarily 100% equal but close enough to compete with one another. The next tier is WAY stronger than the previous tier. We wouldn't know exactly how much stronger but it's not like we'd know if we used power levels since those were never consistent anyway.

Which really should be how it goes. But I'm sure Goku will humor Freize by fighting in base form using Kaioken. Maybe even pushing Frieza to attaining his Cooler-esque transformation

I think the Junior who isn't jumping around is the one killed in the back room, and is probably the one who bro fisted Goku in Bardock's premonition.

It's funny (well to me) vegito was drawn on the day I done this sketch.

Because 0 is the chance of me seeing this happen on the comic itself!

I'm actually intrigued by the story, and the cell two sons is a clever recall, sometimes this comic really does have its share of brilliance, I just wish that was applied to some of the specials also.

Nice job! I remember a comment about how it would've been funny if U2 Toriyama summoned Beerus to fight for him .

"One final adventure awaits the members of universe 6 back home... Coming later!" - And I super not care.

A lot of work and care was put in that last panel, got to hand it to Asura. I'm sure he could do wonders if he wasn't kept on a time frame for pages. I might even commission stuff from him when I have the chance.

Why would Lee and Clementine be there? I mean I guess they'd be used to the violence and stuff but going to watch a tournament is something I couldn't picture him doing.

Isn't it always?

Also, the brownskinned woman last panel, doesn't she look familliar? And I do believe also there is Claire Redfield.
