Over the past couple of days, Iv'e been reading all of this... and man. I don't like to judge people if I don't know them, but from most of what Iv'e read about Faulconer, it sounds like he's a stuck up Douche. :/ BUT, even after reading all this, I would of prefered he got to score GT. Menza's score was so depressing, and bland in Gt, that I border-line hated it. I know a huge majority of the members on this site prefer the Japanese score/dub, but I'm still a Faulconer Production (DBZ score wise) fan. Pfft, Bruce didn't even work on the dub (Personally) all that much. From what I understand, he got Mike and Scott to do most of the work, and didn't pay them very much either. The only reason I still like the dub score is because Scott, Mike, then later on Julius did the great majority of the work. (Love the work you guys did. :D) I know you cant "legally" say it, but your the ones that composed 80% or more of the tracks, and DESERVE the credit. To of had the patience to have worked with the man for as long as you did, I tip my hat to you Scott... lmao.
My Youtube account (Coycoy88)

I primarily rip and upload unreleased Faulconer Productions music, as well as some other American dub music.

Scott Morgan? Try Mike Smith and Julius! Those guys had to work with him for 222 whole Episodes!

In any case though, yeah, if you really want to see an example of the guys laziness, try watching Lord Slug. He was in charge of the music for that movie, and yet it's literally almost nothing but an awkward mix of recycled Dragon Ball Z tracks, silence, and generic rock songs from rock bands like "Dust for Life", "American Pearl", and "Disturbed". I don't remember him or Julius composing a single thing themselves other than the opening credits.

Faulconer Productions had nothing to do with the "Rock Band" movies. That was Kyle Herbert and Evan Jones, in house at Funimation.

None of the three "arrangers" at Faulconer Productions worked on 222 eps.

(Jpn numbers btw)
Mike 68-(234??)
Scott ~78-199
Julius 194-291

The math is fuzzy 'cause we didn't work on every single show in the range that we were there for.

I really unclear on when exactly Mike left. I think it was somewhere just before the Buu Saga. You could probably listen to the music and figure it out. Mike has a very distinct style imho.

Huh....then why do I see so many sources that credit Bruce for Movies 4 and 5?

Well I could be mistaken. I just remember having dinner at Evan Jone's house before the "History of Trunks" came out, he was telling me all about how they had licensed all these tracks from various bands. He was super excited. I think Evan did all the editing and I think Kyle did most of the licensing work. So for that movie at least (and the one after it), I know Faulconer wasn't involved, I don't even think he knew about it at the time. It could be later they hired FPM to edit some music? Seems weird to me though since Evan was already doing that kinda thing inhouse.

Well, according to Cakemix studios, which was a subdivision of FaulconerProductions, Bruce Faulconer for sure worked on Lord Slug, the 4th DBZ movie after "Dead Zone", World's Strongest", and "Tree of Might"...

http://www.cakemixrecording.com/sp/bruce.html

That was the 4th movie, and it, as well as the 5th, 6th, and 7th (Cooler's Revenge, Return of Cooler, and Super Android 13) was made before the History of Trunk's special. Although, I guess it's possible that FUNImation dubbed History of Trunk's first, then did the movies later?

Yes, FUNimation produced the two TV specials in 2000 (first release was on VHS; wasn't a simultaneous VHS/DVD release) before moving on to the rest of the DBZ movies later in 2001, starting with DBZ movie 4.

Huh. Ok. Well, I guess I can't blame Bruce for that. I guess he only worked on editing and stuff on Lord Slug. Still, I really wish they hadn't gone the rock band route. I mean, it's fine when it's every once in a while, like maybe once or twice during a crucial moment, but the way they used it in Lord Slug, I felt more like I was watching a bad AMV rather than a movie. Not that it was a very good movie to begin with mind you, but at least in the Japanese version, you actually felt like you were watching a movie.

Yeah I think the Bardock special was the "one after it" that I mentioned. I don't know the movie numbers, I know some of the titles. Honestly I haven't watched many of them. I watched the Ocean versions of Tree of Might and Dead Zone before getting hired, just trying to learn about the show. A year or so ago I watched most of one of the Broly movies just to see what all the hype was about him. A lot of people say my SSJ5 theme fits Broly.

[edit] Oh and the award for working the longest at Faulconer Productions clearly goes to Julius. He was there 6 years!! Forget episode counts. We move on factors of 2 in time. Scott: 1.5 years, Mike: 3 years, Julius: 6 years!
But thanks CoyCoy :) Yeah Mike was there a almost a year before they got DBZ(working in Bruce's house, yikes!). Julius was there long after it was over.
