Tatsunoboshi Horoko you are "The Man!" I have a few more if your not busy again.

Tatsunoboshi Horoko if you have the time I would love it if you would be able to translate the video footage for the game!
Thanks again

I don't think I'll be able to do any of the dialogue translation. I'm much better when I can see the Japanese.

I tried out the demo (I went ahead and burned it) on both my DVD player (Daewoo DVDS151) and my computer (used GOM player, a Korean video player similar to VLC).
DVD player: Video lagged, all of it. Everything worked the way you wanted it to, but I can't emphasize how much the video lagged. Maybe my DVD player just blows?
GOM player: No problems at all. Everything worked (Subtitles, etc).
Keep up the good work, it looks like this'll be a fun release when it comes out.

Tatsunoboshi Horoko thanks again for the translations, you have been a tremendous help!
Kaze no Mune hope you hade fun with the demo. As for the lag I recently burned a few copies to DVD and came across the same problem. Works fine on my pc but my home player just doesn’t cut it at the moment. I am looking into this and think I have figured out the problem. I have also been researching about flash mx and think that I will switch to it instead of completing the DVD release. In the fight scenes the DVD capabilities just won’t work. I will complete the DVD release without the fight scenes that will not work, unless I can figure them out.

BrollysKin I will release the DVD version when I am done, even though it will be incomplete (without certain fight scenes). As for you paying top dollar I plan on releasing this to everyone, I have no interest in making any money from this project. With myself being a fan for as long as I can remember, I just want to give back to the Dragonball community.

The fight scenes that will be taken out are not because of DVD player lag, it is a limitation with DVD authoring. The fight scenes that I am referring to are based on pressing play at a certain point. The actual point of contact is about .11 of a second long, but with the DVD authoring program the shortest you can have a sequence for is 1 second. This creates a pause between scenes that makes it very easy to hit play at the right time. I suppose this could work on your pc, but to add more lag for a home player would just be too much.Wait... Your taking out certain fight scenes? If it lags in a DVD player why don't we put in a PC?

So your saying that you could duplicate the same footage that came out on the two visual guides?capsuleman wrote:The fight scenes that will be taken out are not because of DVD player lag, it is a limitation with DVD authoring. Cheap route: Search eBay endlessly hoping to see the Official Visual Guides. I've seen them before sometimes on there. Personally, I don't think it's really that good.BrollysKin wrote:So your saying that you could duplicate the same footage that came out on the two visual guides?capsuleman wrote:The fight scenes that will be taken out are not because of DVD player lag, it is a limitation with DVD authoring. The Playdia games are not the exact same as the visual guides, they are an interactive game kind of like Dragon's Lair or Space Ace. Some of the footage that was used in the visual guides is in the games but there is also a lot of new content. For the footage that was "recycled" the dialogue is also different. So your saying that you could duplicate the same footage that came out on the two visual guides?

Man, I wanna play this game so bad, but I don't have PlayDia, not good enough at Japanese, and don't have money to import it. Maybe Funimation will release the footage on a DVD........okay, maybe not.

I too am looking forward to this project capsuleman. Can't wait! Keep up the good work.
I have a question for the forum moderator, as well as to capsuleman.
I have no intention on spoiling capsuleman's project. But, I just happen to have both of the Playdia specials on DVD right now, and I would be more than happy to hand out free copies to any of the members here who've never seen them. If it's okay that is.
From what I've seen, they're basically just the anime scenes, which are supposedly in order, I think. I wouldn't know since I've never played the games. None of the choice buttons show up. They just play right thru like a movie. It's pretty damn cool though. The second special contains two different endings. Both of them are in Japanese dialogue with English subtitles. The picture and sound quality are perfect, and they will play on any DVD player. Whoever made these did a very good job. Seriously!
Anyway, please let me know if it's alright to do this. I have no intention on making any money. I just want to hook up the DBZ fans here who are curious.
Thanks.
