Better hope that blows a hole in the wall for Goku to use...

Hey Goku...Why are you looking dumbfounded in front of a regenerator, and why aren't you RUNNING?

Meanwhile, Saiyan arc Yamcha is putting up an admirable fight against Captain Ginyu...

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

It would be cool if Buu was deliberately limiting his power to match Goku's to appease Vegeta's need to beat him.

You know I read something funny on TV Tropes about Goku's Universe 3 mother: there are some who speculate that Akira created Gine (who, funny enough, is the complete OPPOSITE of DBM's version) just to give this version the middle finger. I'm sure it isn't true, but it still made me chuckle.

Well you never know. DBM has a japanese translation, and Toriyama has become more active lately. I know I'd do google searches on what people think of my stuff or what fan iterations there are.

Fair enough, and if it turns out it's one of the reasons behind Gine's creation it will be so historical. lol

I agree that Goku doesn't stand a chance but I'm pretty sure the power difference is less than that. I mean it is better than the previous example we had of Hercule vs SSJ4 Gogeta but I don't think Buugeta is over 80x stronger than SSJ3 Goku :P.

That would be interesting. It is a funny coincidence that they turned out the complete opposite of each other. The more recent additions to the story seem to go against every trope we see in fanfics. A lot fans assumed a canon transformation after SSJ3 would be even flashier but it turned out to be the simplest form. Then there's all these super strong relatives of Vegeta but his canon brother turned out to be a nice guy who doesn't like to fight.

If we're going to do a villains win special, fine. But for the love of Kami at least have the heroes do the smartest thing, even if it's futile. Goku probably shouldn't be SSJ3. He probably should already be doing the Taiyoken, and he should definitely be running away.

Run away to where? He's literally inside his opponent. It's not like Buu couldn't do practically anything to prevent said escape: alter his body structure, create more tiny versions of himself, just overwhelm and absorb him with giant Boo goo, etc.

Run away to outside by blasting a hole through Buu's body.

Pretty sure they tried to do just that in-series and it didn't work out so well. And that was with both Goku and Vegeta.

Yup. They already tried that. Buu said it tickled.

You were literally complaining awhile ago that the heroes should do everything in order to try to win, even if it's impossible, and now you're saying to get it over with?

I'm against Goku fighting, because there is no point-Even if he defeats Buu's Avatar, Buu is still alive and will keep making more. So Goku has two options: Run, try and find an escape/unlock any pods he finds, or give up. But fighting a losing battle, there is just no point.

And yet again the same thing - suggesting a point that has already been explicitly discussed in DBM...
