I don't know about that. All the flaws that Kai Does have, make me even angrier because of what was done right.

Stevie Wonder could see how much different and better Kai is than Z's dub. The problems with Z's dub are so glaring in comparison you'd have to not pay attention to be unable to see Kai is far better.

So you completely ignored what I said? That's fine, in its own way, I suppose. Anyhow, I adore listening to Kai in english until the music scandal, but I accept its flaws, and often dwell on them because they're just out of laziness.

Also, it's one thing to be comsistently bad, but it's another to have something awful stick out like a sore thumb.

I saw it too, and I loved it! Of course it wasn't that great, but it's definitely not as bad as some say. You can't take it so seriously!

I don't particularly enjoy Funimation's dub of DragonBall/Z/GT and prefer to watch the Blue Water and Ocean/Westwood dub if I'm watching in English. The constant grunting in Funimation's dub is ridiculous...

Seems like around here is a unpopular opinion but I really like Ultimate Tenkaichi cutscenes and wished Kai was like that.

I didn't ignore what you wrote, I just don't get how you can claim that they are on par. The awful parts stick out because the rest is by and large excellent.

Depends whether this thread refers to the community as a whole or just exclusive to this forum?
I was talking about DBZ fans in general they all love chris sabat or that ocean dub vegeta but never acknowledge the awesome Japanese vegeta's voice acting.

Native English speakers who grew up on some English dub of the series aren't "DBZ fans in general".

Ironically, I love those Arcs of the series and I do like the Red Ribbon Army as villains.

I like insane, sociopathic, and unattractively drawn Vegeta (from sagas 1-3) better than later "grumpy middle aged guy" Vegeta.

You're allowed to like what you want. But, I find it kinda odd. It's tolerating something that's only kinda better and that is all subjective. The Westwood dub is acted even more terribly than the FUNi Z dub a majority of the time (which is a shame since most of them are solid actors, even if they don't have a grunting problem). Plus, Blue Water actors can't act and they re-write too (they're as guilty of it as FUNimation is). Not seeing the respect the tone of the Japanese thing here (at least why I've heard of their GT dub) that a lot of people bring up for the Blue Water GT dub and the theme is even cheesier than the FUNi dub of the theme or the original Japanese version and not in a good/tolerable way like the latter two. The grunting/acting isn't a problem in Kai. Won't try and defend the FUNi Z dub, it's just as awful if not more. (Again all my opinion so you can ignore it if you choose). The Ocean Uncut movies are good though.

As for my own unpopular opinion. I hate hearing Say-yan for Saiyan and it bothers me that the mispronunciation will forever be plagued in English versions of DB. Then again most Japanese words mispronouced in general annoy me, pretty anal about pronouncing it correctly. Although I'm more annoyed by the fact that people try to correct me/whoever said the correct one, with the dub pronunciation when they don't know what they're talking about. That's more of an urgh, YouTube type thing.
