It's getting to the point where even know tired of the buildup episodes. Lets start the tournament of power already. What's even the point of episode 94?

It hasn't even aired yet so I don't know how you can say what's the point of it.

All of Namek was way longer than the Saiyan arc.
The series directors are different this arc, that could be one reason it's longer. The biggest reason is probably one of production, the more time they have to get everything lined up for the tournament the lower the chances the animation collapses.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get one main arc a year from now on.

This arc's pace is reminding me of the Dressrosa arc of One Piece; not in a good way.

I mean seriously, they took 5 episodes to get the meat of the Universe 6 arc to start, and here, they're taking about 16 episodes.

i guess zeno will erase u9 before the tournament since they will most likely not have enough members. they already had their time in anime with the exhibition match and the fact they are the weakest universe doesn't make them that threatening. the downside is that we willl loose out on 10 fighters but the plus side is that we can have more character development from the other universes. anyway i would love to see sidra vs beerus.

anyway during the anime ending credits (boogie back) i noticed that there panels of universe 7 fighters together in teams. perhaps they will split and fight other universes in those teams. for example basesd on power levels and individual attributes. the weakest teams/ members will fight the weaker universe.

gohan and piccolo vs universe 10
vegeta vs universe 2
goku vs universe 11
android 17 and android 18 vs universe 3
frieza vs universe 6

I feel like they'll start the ToP when the next cour (summer lineup) starts. This is like an arc of its own in anime standards nowadays, like say "Recruitment arc".

It took 5 episodes and then we got a poor opening to the tournament. The Champa arc would have benifited greatly from them not jumping head first into the tournament.

I feel like they'll start the ToP when the next cour (summer lineup) starts. This is like an arc of its own in anime standards nowadays, like say "Recruitment arc".

It's probably best to look at the Universe Survival Arc as being comprised of 3 arcs. The Zen Exhibition arc, the Recruitment arc and the Tournament of Power arc.

I'm beginning to think they're dragging their feet until they can reach Episode #97, the first episode of July, which is the beginning of the Summer 2017 season. They'll probably update the Opening animation and Ending animation then, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made a small update to the opening before then to replace Buu with Freeza. The ending will be replaced on 97, just as it is every cour.

If an arc has to drag I'd rather it be one that's more plot heavy than this.

Lol why are people surprised this arc is taking so long ? we legit have a complete new opening for it ! when did dragon ball changed an opening for an arc ? it never did !

I'm not surprised, I just got too used to shorter arcs via the first four arcs of Super. (And maybe partly used to Kai too).

Best analogue I have for this arc so far is the Buu arc of Z. New opening theme/animation, longest(?) arc episode count.

I like Times like these, nothing like long Dragonball arcs.. as long as the story is making sense I say I am fine with even a year worth of pre/post/mid filler tournament episodes if push comes to shove..

The stronger universes namely 12 (The Ultimate Universe) and 1 (The Supreme Universe) were left out for a reason, at least thats how I see it, the arc can revolve around them like not agreeing on what happens down this arc and they take drastic actions, I feel like Super still has ways to go, they even said U1's GoD is like Shiva... while I'm still weirded out by that since Iwan looks and feels nothing like Shiva so they may show their similarities in the future.

So Trunks and Goten are getting scenes in an episode, even if it's rather unimportant. I wonder how they'll resolve the Yamcha subplot where he finds out he's not being chosen.

Plot twist: The Assassins never make it to Frieza and bump into Yamcha by mistake, he kicks their assess and proves how little of a chance they had in the first place

Ok serious question, from where is this Sidra's stuff coming from? I have read those previews on Herms's twitter and i don't see anything related to Sidra. Could someone show me the scan or something?
Also could the tournament fucking start already? I mean i've been enjoyong and loving all these episodes so far but at this point my impatience is getting stronger.
