2017 sales(First half are out) while Volume 2 did miles better than Volume 1, imo the DBS manga should be called a success if the volumes start selling more than the likes of Boruto, Fairy Tail, specially the later which final arc has probably the worst writing I've ever seen.

I'm curious if Toyo heading for "Goku time" can break the 300K mark, maybe its one of the reason why he is creating new characters based on fanfiction like Kale who is the Female Broly?

The wording of the preview is rather odd. It almost makes it sound like Sidra knows Frieza and that shouldn't be. I'm rather curious now what this may lead into. It could either be something with a dead end like a sabotage event with these assassin's leading up to Univ9 being erased...or it could lead into some juicy new things leading up to the tournament about a role Sidra could play. Although, it's probably just the first one lol.

I wonder if they even have the plot for the next arc worked out yet.

If an arc has to drag I'd rather it be one that's more plot heavy than this.

I think making this arc so long could also be to help with the next arc. Toei only had about 4, maybe 5 months from when the outline was complete to when the first episode had to air for the Future Trunks arc, so them making this arc longer gives them more time to actually work with Toriyama's outline. I'm sure they've been working with his outline for the next arc for a bit now.

And also they bother in adding Caulifla to the opening. She has gotten hype in the Jump magazine covers to the point it doesnt feel she will be a throwaway character

We should get the tournament soon, with Nakao mentioning that he already finished recording a scene with Frost planning something, if its true a DBS episode takes 6 weeks to be finished, then it connects that the tournament will start in episode 97.

6 weeks is on the mid/lower end for episodes, 7+ is what a lot of episodes have these days. Voice recording for anime takes place near the end of production as well, so for Super they generally should be recording around a week before the episode comes out. Nakao's comment is odd, because that means he probably recorded lines 3 weeks before an episode airs, which seems pretty early for a show with a production like Super.

People spent forever bitching that not much has happend during the "Gathering Fighters " stage, saying we want more to happen......then when we actually get to a truly interesting moment in the narrative of the build up, one universe trying to sabotage another, people want to skip it. Well thats humans for you. Ad to that the fact that during the u6 and Black arc people were complaining that the arcs were to short and now we get an arc thats actually taking its time....I do wander if people even know what they want.

My problem is the many instances of padding during the recruitment episodes such as the Space Poacher and Yurin episodes that doesn't add much to the story nor is it any relevant. Coupled along with the whole dumb plot point of Goku and Gohan hiding the truth from everyone about the stakes of the tournament and 17 refusing to enter the tournament for some nonsensical reason. Though admittedly, I am intrigued on what Sidra has planned for Freeza or U7 in general in his agenda.

After rof the arc, it's nice to see a good shot of freeza, even if it's his back and only one shoulder plate, at least it's not all messed up and hard on the eyes

I think if Sidra dose turn up, it will be Goku and Frieza being forced to team up. Which will be funny as hell because Goku and Vegeta would not team up to beat Frieza....but Goku will team up with Frieza to beat Sidra.

Bergamo wasn't that strong on his own, he kept getting stronger from Goku's attacks, so Goku intentionally made him strong to have a fun challenge.
