You don't think Trunks sounds bad in this? I think he's about as bad as the rest of the cast.
Man that scene just doesn't sound right without "battle point unlimited."

It really doesn't, I like both Faulconer's and Kikuchi's BGM for that scene.violadude wrote:You don't think Trunks sounds bad in this? I think he's about as bad as the rest of the cast.

Seru Seru Seru Games...sorry I have that song stuck in my head.
Anyways I think Trunks' VA is a lot better with his screams than Goku/Vegeta's.
I got permission to post the cast names and ages (at the time they did the dub)
They gave me a list so I'll post it in a minute.

The Trunks doesn't sound any better, except in the scream. I guess the other voices make this one sound better.
I have a Dragon Ball collection of sorts which can be seen here.

Could you upload some full episodes, SRB2Unleashed?
I love this dub, its so hilarious. Its like a parody of all the dozens of dbz dubs.

RULE #6: NO BOOTLEGGING wrote:We do not condone bootlegging. We do not want to hear about your bootleg DVDs. We do not want to hear about how many episodes you have downloaded. Yes, we can tell those screen-caps come from bootleg DVDs and/or ripping-groups' downloadable versions. We do not want to hear about how many V0/scene MP3s you have collected. When it comes down to it, DBZ has had a very rough uprising in various countries, but we are finally at the point where we can legally purchase many of the things we want and support our fandom.

It's less to do with the audio side of things, and more the video side of things -- it's simply inappropriate on this forum to ask for the entire video content of a complete episode, regardless of whose dub it is. We kindly ask that folks simply not go that route here. What Up Namek! wrote:Whuups. I didn't know we couldn't even ask for joke dubs.

Re: So Apparently the Boys and Girls Club I Work At Made a D
The laziest Dragon Ball Z dub I've ever heard is playing in Dubai in the UAE (United Arab Emirates).
In that dub, it just has the original version audio, but whenever the characters speak, the audio volume is decreased, and people read what is being said. Keep in mind, they don't actually act or try to put forth any kind of preformance. They simply read the translated dialog in a calm tone. I guess it's the same as having subtitles, only they're "audio subtitles". Have you guys ever seen a dub like this before?

This sounds like a bunch of kids had a lot of fun with Dragonball, and for what it's worth that's a really great thing. It's also probably why they loved it, because they made it. Sort of like the fake movie they make in Be Kind, Rewind in a way...
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

If you think thats bad I remember at Primary (Elementary for you Americans) School one of my friends told me about some kid who's dad only let him play puzzle games like Tetris because all other games were to violent.AnimeMaakuo wrote: I met a family once.. I can see what you mean but the only problem is that there is no effort put in so its hard to believe that they gave a crap about this at all. If they had have put a little more effort in to the acting screaming voices and especially mic quality. It would have had that Be Kind Rewind feel to it rather then that "Ok they won't let us watch the real dub so we need to get this done quickly so we aren't stuck watching paint dry! Alright 8 year olds you handle the scripts drunk 16 year olds and immature 10 year olds you handle the voices. And the 5 year olds can be the directors". Feel to it.Ashura wrote:This sounds like a bunch of kids had a lot of fun with Dragonball, and for what it's worth that's a really great thing. Re: So Apparently the Boys and Girls Club I Work At Made a D
I think the fact that they rescored complete episodes, added sound effects in themselves, wrote their own dialogue, made their own openings, and then revoiced everything is a lot of effort even if it's not good by professional standards. :/ When you don't know what you're doing, it especially takes a lot of time and you're not likely to get it right the first time you do something.
Something like this may have inspired them to do more, learn more... heck, just exercizing their imagination is awesome. I mean, everyone's first AMV isn't going to be great; neither is their third or fourth.
I know I have a VHS tape somewhere of an AMV I did for class back in 1997 that I cut together using 2 VCRs that is just atrocious, but I certainly put a lot of effort into it. From that I realized it was really fun, and I decided to look into video editing on the computer and using my knack in graphics work for things. Before long, I started cutting together fan trailers of Toonami stuff, and posting it up on fansites, and on and on. The more I kept at it, the better I got, until I eventually got to do some video editing professionally.
I don't think I'm amazing by any stretch, and it's not like I've gotten to do a lot, but I certainly look back at those days where I was cutting together terrible Gundam Wing Endless Waltz trailers and am thankful I had a chance to do it even if it was terrible. It certainly inspired me to be better and learn new things.

Believe it or not they gotten much more better at voices (it'll still sound like their original dub) and will have better writing (not by much though) and their doing this one for fun.
