Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
I don't get why people are complaining about Piccolo regeneration his arms fast. This isn't DBZ. Don't you guys think Piccolo learned to improve his regeneration rate with his increase in power? Just because it took him a long time to regenerate his arms against Radditz or Imperfect Cell doesn't mean he's still like that now years later.

Piccolo's limb regeneration isn't a technique, it's a characteristic of his race. I'm pretty sure it's not something you can just improve by getting stronger, and even if it is, the writers should mention that instead of taking creative liberties and assuming no one will care.precita wrote:I don't get why people are complaining about Piccolo regeneration his arms fast. Yeah the episode started a bit weird with Piccolo asking Gohan if he was okay. Definitely seemed to imply they were fighting Dr. Rota off screen.Kataphrut wrote:Did anyone notice at the start of the episode it looked like Gohan had taken some damage from Dr Rota? Like, we never got to SEE his gimmick, but he was actually somewhat powerful.
That's commitment to a bit.
Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
THis was an amazing episode, the opening with Gohan and Piccolo tensely figuring out what's going on and hwo to approach, to Goku and Vegeta being idiots, to Tien whipping out his one-time only badass card.
"Piccolo, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. I JUST HAD MY FUCKING HAND BLOWN OFF!"
"Gohan, do we really need to have this conversation!? You're an adult. I can't play Baby Momma meat shield any more!"
Goku: Oh, so the guy is reflecting ki blasts off of himself to fire at opponents while the sniper hides in the distance.
Vegeta: Let's charge at him with ki blasts
Goku: FUCK YEAH!
Tien: Fuck universe 7, I'm making my own team.
Dr Rota - The Monaka of Universe 6
And I am pretty fucking hyped for whatever Frost is doing next episode. Beware Roshi.

AMAZING episode, and next one is gonna be all kinds of awesome, Frost and Roshi two of my favorites duking it out? It can't be anything short of godly!
And what was dr rota's ability!?!? I have to know dammit..
Tien went down like a boss so that's awesome, here's hoping maji kayo kicks dyspos butt

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
Well, I have mixed feelings about this episode. Some things were good, other things could have been better, but is in the big picture where it fails for me.
First, the Hermila and Prum strategy was cool and original. Piccolo losing three arms a bit repetitive and convenient. Dr. Rota, I guess it was a comical character, but I feel it was wasted anyway. I could have seen him fighting Roshi, for example.
Goku and Vegeta were unnecessary here. Just thinking about Ten taking care of the sniper like he did and Gohan and Piccolo going for Prum, would have worked much better for me. Vegeta was too much a caricature of himself again.
This was Tenshinhan's episode then. It wasn't bad, he saved two partners and took care of a guy others couldn't, at least getting big damage. But it cost his elimination too, that took the shine from his achievement for me. Maybe if he had eliminated Hermila neatly and be eliminated fighting some other strong foe next episode, that would have worked better, cause I get it was about time for U7 lose another one too and Tenshinhan was always in the bubble.
But in overall, I'm disappointed about his role, he eliminated The Preecho with Roshi, that was about five seconds, and Hermila, although important, it cost himself. Nah, he lasted more than I thought, but not even some nice kick exchange with any random fodder before. So much Goku, so less others. I mean, Goku must have presence, he is the main character, but what about sharing a little bit now, as he will have Jiren and others in the end?
Roshi Mafuba again? I didn't expect it, he will die, this time I won't buy him surviving, cause he already used his stamina to the limit and Frost is sure stronger than the sorceress.

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
Whew, I read the comments before I saw the episode, so I expected to be thoroughly miffed by the end of it. Well I am only partially miffed.
I don't think Piccolo and Gohan performed as badly as some say, but yes, Toei's penchant for reusing formulas that have been popular before to the point that they lose all meaning is upsetting. Yes, we know, Piccolo would do anything for Gohan. Yes, even sacrifice himself. Yes, we get it
What I was happy with was that they really highlighted Piccolo's cleverness, even if it didn't amount to much in the end. Regarding Piccolo losing three arms in the span of one episode, here's my guess: They can't show blood or severe damage anymore, but Piccolo's regeneration presents a good loophole. Expect him to lose three more before he gets eliminated.....
As for Tien, his fight wasn't bad, but I wish it had been given more pizzazz .
Also, this episode didn't not look nearly as bad as the preview made it to appear. Animation was not spectacular, but at least their faces and proportions remained okayish throughout the whole thing. Did they manage to correct it in one week?

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
Honestly this episode was neither good nor bad. The best part IMO was the NEP.

Honestly, if Roshi dooesn't get ringed-out in the NEP that'll be the straw that breaks the camels back.
Feels over Reals.
Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
Two very underwhelming episodes for sure. The fighters in this tournament have no thought out into their design and animation. The only fighter recently that had any effort was that universe 10 guy that faught Gohan.

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
They can't give depth to every character. Most of them are just there so we see the main characters do stuff and to build up tension. It's only when we get down to 10-15 characters that personalities are going to get interesting. My bet is that the only characters that are going to be remarkable are: Jiren, Toppo, Dyspo, Brianne, Jimizu and U6 and U7.MainJPW wrote:I REALLY wish they would stop wasting characters. I'm starting to think Piccolo's arms are made of paper mache; those beams didn't maim Dr. Rota or Tenshinhan's clones....MajinMan wrote: Piccolo torture porn.

Not as good as last week's but it was still a good one. Next week also looks really good so hopefully all of them will continue to be this way.

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
This is a legit complaint, I think it would be nice if say, Vegeta threw himself at super speed towards Clayface and as the camera zoomed in on the alien, you would see him get beamed, glow and fire at Vegeta, knocking him back to Goku. Then Vegeta would comment on not having enough time to reach Clayface or something. It would suspend the viewer's disbelief a bit more that way, I think.Asura wrote:Why exactly couldn't they have just jumped up and started punching the crap out of him?
Decent episode. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. My worst episode remains the one with the magical girls and their whole transformation joke.
Well, at least now Krillin has company and won't feel like a total fuck-up. Will Roshi join them on the next ep? We'll see.
And fuck me ... Slimer will actually challenge Jiren.
Looks like Frost has a thing for beating up Earthlings.Kanassa wrote:And I am pretty fucking hyped for whatever Frost is doing next episode. Beware Roshi.
Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
I don't want to seem confrontational man but do you mind pointing out the good in this episode, I just find very little redeeming qualities to be found here. The art and animation was some of the worst we've seen in a while (I don't think a single shot of Gohan or Piccolo's face looked good), we have a lot of common sense issues with no one just taking out the fat guy while Tien distracted the real sniper and Tien once again proved nothing more than worthless, with the only good part of this episode to me being he used his smarts and managed to at least get one kill out of it (and also Vegeta just taking out the two without no BS). They even made yet ANOTHER call back to Piccolo saving Gohan against Nappa, how many times are you gonna play up that moment TOEI.sintzu wrote:Not as good as last week's but it was still a good one. Not to mention one that had Gohan and Piccolo hiding in a bunker half the episode, having busted both said opponents shoulders and had him on his knees before turning his dirty tactics against him.Kanassa wrote:He eliminated a participant.nato25 wrote: Tien once again proved nothing more than worthless

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)
What's with the depressive reviews, seriously, just lower your god damn expectations. Everyone seems to compare with the last episode, it just doesnt go that way, one sucks, one is good, and so on, go with the flow.
Beerus, seems to be able to respect someone, first Roshi now Tien, it's hard to get praise out of him, especially without Whis's intervention, good addition.
I am not sure how those 3 other Tiens appeared out of nowhere, but i liked that sacrifice.
Vegetas rage on big mouthed people is always welcome.
And to whoever didnt notice, U6 and U7 seem to have a balanced losing sheet, their losses are not more then one episode apart, and in this one it happened to be in one completely, and NEP sort of seems to point that way too, Frost nixing Roshi (which would kill that ending scheme as a reference), and i wouldnt be surprised if Frost would be next right after. And did i see that correctly, Mafuba having no effect in Frost?
