I meant they showed Goku respect in what they said in their analysis after it. You know, the part where they explain why such and such won? I hope some of you don't just watch the fight and turn off the video...

"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Of course they disrespected Goku. They paired him up against Superman. A guy he had no chance against. They also disrespected Superman, by putting him against a guy not worth his time.

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Well, that is true too. lol.
But imagine all the fan mail they've received since Goku achieved a new form. They just wanted to meet demands.

Thy disrespected Goku by not showing how he truly fight. All the fight was just punching. Where did the IT go? Where did Goku's martial art proest go? And Goku use a Kamehameha as a full frontal attack and just stand there when he sees that it didn't work? And this is the Goku that already fought Superman once. Nice one screwattack.

We're lucky they don't just have Superman fly up and snap Goku's neck before he even knows what's happening, cause Supes can do that. Or lobotomize him in a millisecond before Goku can even do anything. They also coulda just had Superman stand still and have Goku wail on him, with Superman never flinching.

But Superman combat speed isn't that fast. Z fighters combat speed is in the FTL speed when thy were fighting Cell. Superman also can't go 0 to light speed in a second. Even wonder woman has better combat speed than Superman.

So many people upset that their blue haired hero didn't beat the man of steel, hilarious! Bluper Saiyan got taken out by a fucking toy ring... People should be happy Goku lasted as long as he did.

I see people post that a lot, but what does that even mean? Is Wonder Woman slow or something? What does it matter if WW is faster than supes if both of them are faster than Goku? And is WW even faster than Supes if he isn't holding back at all. I've seen the page that everybody references for saying that Wonder Woman is faster but like its been said Superman holds back a lot.
But in any case I'm pretty sure she is supposed to be pretty quick. I saw a scan once where they showed her deflecting attacks that were coming from the edges of the galaxy (or maybe the universe). I don't remember the details but it was a bunch of attacks and somebody did some calculations on it, and it came out to some completely absurd over the top speed.

Didn't he do that in Broly when Broly tanked kamehameha? He stood there with that dumb look on his face.
You mean the non canon movie?
They use every medium. Filler generally makes Goku stronger anyways.
And again, don't argue over the fight itself, which only serves for entertainment, but against their analysis of why Superman is the victor. Can you debunk what they said?

I don't care that Goku loses but showing him lose like that is embarrassing if I were to put it lightly. They are pretty bias towards Superman and didn't even want to recognize the mistake they did in the previous "research". They even consider themselves to be the official fight on what would happen if both fight and basically telling all the previous Superman VS Goku fight other people made was unofficial and basically saying all of them were wrong.

I don't need to. Jut search Google. A lot of people already debunk their so call research.

It's not another posters' job to search and verify your claims. If you've got them, post them.
Some of their "so called research" from the first Death Battle came from the wonderful people who run this very site. They didn't seem bothered by the outcome from what I recall.
Dunno about this one, but it didn't seem like much changed in the grand scheme of things.

You mean they were the one to say to scale his power like that and actually calculate his speed using the Snake way?

I agree. It's not even the least bit comparable. The ending part pretty much shows everything Supes can do, that Goku can't even come close to doing.
