Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Well, I'll be honest how I felt about this when I read the script before recording for the video.
I was naturally gutted. I felt that the divine energy Goku attained at Super Saiyan God level meant that he would have been able to do some damage to Superman. Also, wouldn't he have remembered Superman's use of the sun for power and how it...burnt him last time? Hmm.
In any case, I still felt privileged to be part of this project as getting to scream as Goku and represent Team Dragonball once again. I felt like I learnt more about acting in the two years in between the Death Battles.

I feel the same way. At least, you convinced one person, me, that you could portray a 'serious' Goku, especially with the SSGSS Kamehameha scream, good job.Masako-kun wrote:In any case, I still felt privileged to be part of this project as getting to scream as Goku and represent Team Dragonball once again. I'm sure you've heard this a million times already but you did a really good job. I especially liked the Kamehamaha and never back down from a fight lines.Masako-kun wrote:Well, I'll be honest how I felt about this when I read the script before recording for the video.

Although, I don't take Death Battle seriously at all, deep down, a part of me a Dragon Ball fan wanted Goku to win, too. But hey, nothing about Death Battle is official or should be taken as a word of law. It's just an opinion. Something that everyone has. So while the guys over at Death Battle believe that Superman would always win against Goku, there is nothing stopping others from thinking different in regards to that opinion.Masako-kun wrote:Well, I'll be honest how I felt about this when I read the script before recording for the video.

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
I'd mentioned that before, I was hoping if this was an in continuity rematch that the sun would have played a factor in it somehow. I'm not sure how but I expected something.I was naturally gutted. Last time Goku used his Kamehameha to overpower his Heat Vision and blast him into the sun and then here he should be several times as strong and yet Superman just walks through this one like it's nothing.
It reminds me of the 70's crossover with the Hulk where at first Hulk is knocking him around until Superman decides "Nope I don't wanna move anymore" and then Hulk wails on the unmoving Superman.
Seems kinda BS.
Either way you did a good voicing Goku as always.
Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Even from a script perspective I think the rematch was boring. The dialogue wasn't funny or as interesting as last time. This time the overtone felt like a grown up putting down a hyper active child. You of course sold your part, but I think they on all fronts dropped the ball on the rematch. They all but proved the research teams lament and sarcasm when they refused to take it the least bit seriously. It did not at all feel like a rematch. It felt more like they wanted to restate their points again, and felt like getting more views while silencing skeptics, so they made a pointless rematch.Masako-kun wrote:Well, I'll be honest how I felt about this when I read the script before recording for the video.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Pretty much how i feel and as dbzfan7 said also sums how i feel this rematch was pointless cause even if goku lost again at least make the fight good like last time it feels absolutely pointless we get it supes is powerful guy why not wait until supers over before touching this debate so we could see how goku could stack up to him instead of doing it now where he barely have enough feats so it was obvious superman was going to win this.Lord Beerus wrote:Although, I don't take Death Battle seriously at all, deep down, a part of me a Dragon Ball fan wanted Goku to win, too. Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Does anyone else think that the whole "Superman has no limits and Goku will never win" thing was just an excuse they came up with so they wouldn't have to keep doing this battle over and over again?
I mean, it makes sense when you think about it. If they had Goku win, or Superman win but with a possibility of losing, everyone would keep bugging them to do another one, so instead they just tried to come up with some reason why there was no point in doing the battle again, because they just didn't want to.

Because they don't like people constantly complaining and telling them to do things over and over again and they want to do different battles?dario03 wrote:Why wouldn't they want to do it again though?Polyphase Avatron wrote:Does anyone else think that the whole "Superman has no limits and Goku will never win" thing was just an excuse they came up with so they wouldn't have to keep doing this battle over and over again?

Maybe but I think they like views more. Though I do think they made the animation end like they did to make their point more clear.Polyphase Avatron wrote:Because they don't like people constantly complaining and telling them to do things over and over again and they want to do different battles?dario03 wrote:Why wouldn't they want to do it again though?Polyphase Avatron wrote:Does anyone else think that the whole "Superman has no limits and Goku will never win" thing was just an excuse they came up with so they wouldn't have to keep doing this battle over and over again?

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
Not at all. It was the core of the issue.Polyphase Avatron wrote:Does anyone else think that the whole "Superman has no limits and Goku will never win" thing was just an excuse they came up with so they wouldn't have to keep doing this battle over and over again?
I thought that the rematch itself and the dialog was kind of boring and much less interesting than the first match, but their reasoning really hit the core issue and difference between the character in terms of power.

How can you use lifting infinity as an actual feat?
If that's not a massive outlier I don't know what one is then.
Lifting infinity means your durability is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(add infinite arrows) omniversal
Which is completely BS since none of those 3(wonder woman, superman, shazam) are even close to that level
It contradicts hundreds upon hundreds of feats for those characters
Wonder Woman with infinite durability don't make me laugh
Outlier and some common sense tells us lifting infinity isn't possible unless your omnipotent(which again none of them are)

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2
In the subtitled version of DB Super I watched, Satan said Boo was a space warrior from a distant galaxy. While that may not overtly contradict the idea of four galaxies, it does sound awkward under that context (the most distant galaxy would be South Galaxy).Neo-Makaiōshin wrote:Yes it is but, its size was never specify, they could be as big as 1 quadrant of the universe or as big as a generic galaxy.dario03 wrote: Galactus has destroyed a universe before.
Also isn't the DBZ universe only 4 galaxies
Then again it may have been mistranslated.
Kaioshin-kai is a pretty generic term for both the planet and realm of the Kaioshin and was the only name used to refer to the planet in the manga. Elder Kaioshin even said Kaioshin-kai was ruined when only the planet was damaged during Goku and Boo's final battle.godku23 wrote:As far as the Elder Kai's statement about Beerus destroying the universe, its not so far fetched if you think about Toriyama saying in an interview that Beerus can destroy the Kaioshin realm (one fifth of universe 7).
With that in mind, Toriyama may have meant it would not be appropriate to destroy the planet of the Kaioshin since they are Beerus's counterpart in the god hierarchy. At least, it would not be as appropriate as destroying Kaio's planet.
Technically this is not true because there are always bigger infinities.Saiyan007 wrote:How can you use lifting infinity as an actual feat?

Yes, although I don't know many people who take those feats seriously/at face value.
Although I guess they hold more weight than what are called unsupported statements.

Well, he's done it more than once. And actual stated and shown feats hold way more value than feats that you have to extrapolate yourself.Polyphase Avatron wrote:Yes, although I don't know many people who take those feats seriously/at face value.

Doesn't matter if he's done it twice it contradicts 99% of his showings
Let me break it down for you since you don't understand how dumb of a feat this really is and why people don't take it at face value.
Lifting something requires you have the durability to do so.
So lifting infinite weight requires infinite durability.
To hurt someone with infinite durability you would need infinite force
So for example when Darkseid fights Superman and they exchange blows why doesn't the omniversw explode since they are exchange infinite force?
Or when cheetah harms wonder woman is cheetah delivering infinite force since wonder woman has infinite durability?
Short answer is no none of these guys have infinite strength or durability reading the comics these guys are in prove it.One or two scenarios of Heavily PIS doesn't matter when it contradicts the tiers these guys are in.
Shazam and Superman aren't above Darkseid because they lifted infinity.
Heck Ultraman lifted infinity by himself so does that make Ultram infinitely times stronger than Superman and Shazam?

If people were to actually read comics instead of watching fanfiction on Youtube arguments like this would never occur.

You're trying to justify lol infinity feats by saying he's done it more than once
