Re: Resurrection 'F' - Super Cut [COMPLETE!]
Thanks for all the kind words! Definitely makes me feel like this was worth my time. Make sure you throw a big thank you towards Herms and EmmaWinters for ensuring the subtitles were perfect, to Sangofe for timing them so well, to Plowkiller for the Gohan continuity edit, and to Detective X for doing such wonderful reanimation. They were all hugely helpful in adding the extra layer of polish I was after. I'm glad everyone's enjoying it so far!
As for downloading it and getting it to play, here's a guide:
Click the MEGA link on my Twitter and make sure you choose the grey option "Download through your browser". This'll start the download on the page, and when it's done, it'll open up an explorer window to let you pick where to save it (unless you have the default location on in which it'll go straight to your downloads folder).
The video file was encoded using the H265 encoder or HEVC (High Efficiency Video Encoder) as it's better known. This is what allowed a two hour film to be only a little over 1GB. You'll need a proper video player to play this back, however. For the sake of ease, I recommend downloading the latest version of VLC. It should play back with absolutely no issues in this player.
Hope that helps!

Do you plan to release this is a torrent?

Once I replace the remaining TV footage with the Blu-ray release, I most likely will, yeah.

My only two minor complaints are that we never get resolution to Tagoma (Unless I miss something) and the Vegeta vs Freeza fight. The anime fight is so much better.
I really liked Goku vs Freeza though. Amazing edits there.

Man I can't stop watching Goku vs Freeza.
Re: Resurrection 'F' - Super Cut [COMPLETE!]
OK I just saw this and wow what an improvement, this feels complete to me in a way the regular version does not. This idea was so genius of you to do, the animation changes between super and movie didn't even bug me cause I finally got to see the Vegeta centric BoG follow up I always wanted. I love the inclusion of all the training scenes and the additional dialogue that fleshed the film out. I won't say it's perfect but it's damn close, great job! (even my bro liked it). I do think it's a good idea to make a v2 to remove the water mark when the Blu-ray raws com out though. One thing that struck me as odd was the title screen dropping 18 mins into the film but it seemed to be in a suitable spot. I love the introduction for Whis now, it's so cool to see Vegeta notice he is there, Goku arriving was also cool since he was behind Whis' back, really felt cinematic and made me forget that Goku doesn't appear for a while. Regarding the ending, I wasn't certain what Gohan was apologizing to Piccolo for but I like that he asked for the training. The integration of all the others as Earth was blown up was really well done too, brought way more impact to the scene. The editing was overall very professional (you have me beat, that's for sure XD), I only aw the film once and there were no real rough cuts.
What can I say other than thanks and good job

Regarding these two points - I definitely agree that the title screen dropping so late into the film is quite weird. Unfortunately, due to the way the original film is structured, it wasn't really feasible to move it elsewhere without that scene feeling very strange.
Gohan's apology to Piccolo is an interesting one for me. My intention is for most people to interpret it as him saying it was his fault for not being able to take everyone down at the start of the film due to slacking with his training. He gets one-shot by Freeza which ultimately leads to the events of the rest of the film playing out, so there's that, too.
It's hard for me to gauge how effectively the scene works with the knowledge of its meaning in Super's context. Obviously I think it works as it is, otherwise I wouldn't have put it in the film, but I'd be interested to hear whether someone who hadn't seen Super or F before had an issue with it.

Whenever Super gets dubbed by Funimation, I'd be happy to make an english dub of this for those who prefer the English dub over the Japanese dub

Noice! Will watch that Ajay and give you feedback.
I am a junkie on good fan edits. Adywan's Star Wars Episode 4 is now my favorite version of the movie (except for the horrid montage of).
Thanks

The download got wonky with me and it cut off for me after the 1 hour, 49 minute mark. But, from what I saw, this a much better flowing narritive. Hope for a Kikuchi or even music less /sfx only version (would be super tempted to fan dub, but that's just me personally).

Well done, congratulations and thank you Ajay as well as each and every person involved for releasing this. Your joint time and efforts are beyond appreciated and I'd be more than happy to also provide feedback if need be. I plan on starting to watch Super's current arc once I've seen this.

Fantastic work Ajay. As much as I loved Resurrection F, your super cut flowed so much better.

Ugh, I still can't take this movie seriously. Your Super cut was an improvement, definitely, but upon rewatching it, I just remembered why I hated this movie so much. At least the Goku vs Freeza fight wasn't as boring as the one in the film or as awful as the one in the anime.

Awesome! Loved it! Thank you so much Ajay for doing that, it will definitely replace the movie and the series for me!
Re: Resurrection 'F' - Super Cut [COMPLETE!]
Finally got to watch it. Pretty damn good! A couple of parts where you could tell it was spliced together (the film segments' audio was noticeably quieter during the first half), but well worth it in the end. I really liked how you threw Champa and Vados in after the credits. Much more worthwhile than Freeza being back in Hell as a post-credits scene.
Watching this version of the film/arc made it feel more like a prologue to the U6 arc, which I think makes the film/arc work much better than as a standalone thing. Sort of like how Goku and Krillin trained as the first part of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai arc, and then the second part was the tournament proper.
Now, if only it was possible to separate the voice files from the background music, so Sumitomo could be replaced with Kikuchi.

Re: Resurrection 'F' - Super Cut [COMPLETE!]
Was wondering how long it'd be before someone noticed the audio.
Yeah, working on the sound in this film was a bitch. It's not that the film is massively quieter, it's that it has a greater dynamic range than the TV audio which is then being squashed to stereo. This meant that essentially everything but the dialogue was quieter, whereas the stereo TV audio was better balanced.
In hindsight, I probably should have looked into 5.1 to stereo conversion and manually leveled everything myself. By the time I touched the audio, everything was already edited so the best I could do was try apply compression to the film -- making the quiet bits louder. This kinda~ worked, but it seemed to do more harm than good during a lot of scenes, so I ended up manually going through and key framing the audio the best I could.
It's not perfect, sadly. I think I'm going to try and tidy that up further for the V2 when the BDs are out. Hopefully I can make it work. Audio is definitely not my strong point. I usually only deal with spoken word mastering. Although I did redo the entire audio for one section in this film so if nobody notices, I'll be happy.
