The 'Warp' Kamehameha scene, also helped by a good guitar soundtrack.JazzMazz wrote:Just wondering, what do people think the highlight of the episode was? For me it was this scene during Goku's and Toppo's fight. Really liked the effects and rotations in the scene.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 81
This is a bit of a random question, but does anyone know why so much CGI was used in the RoF movie?

Really???? Wow I didn't think he could make good faces by his own, maybe he isn't completely lost.Ajay wrote:Doesn't look corrected to me.Alee9977 wrote:That seems to be a correction more than a shot 100% Kitano.
His close-ups this week were fine. Even Beerus looking like a dog isn't badly drawn, it's just incredibly off-model.
The mid to long shots are the issue.

Check his bog episodes. You will be surprised how much on model he was back then.Alee9977 wrote:Really???? Since Goku base vs Frieza his art became like that.

A lot of what we thought was him back then was usually corrected by someone else, like Ide.Mazingerdestro wrote:

I don't know exactly how much CGI was used in total, but I've heard that nearly half of the Goku vs Frieza fight was completely CGI. Yikes.KameNinja45 wrote:This is a bit of a random question, but does anyone know why so much CGI was used in the RoF movie?

Pretty much. It felt so unnecessary too.JazzMazz wrote:I don't know exactly how much CGI was used in total, but I've heard that nearly half of the Goku vs Frieza fight was completely CGI. It doesn't help that the models looked like plastic. If we had something like XV2's cutscenes it would've been acceptable.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 81
Those random craters popping on the field could had more effort, it felt forced to me.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 81
Would Shimanuki work as a replacement for Yamamuro for the role of character designer?

-Episode 82-
Loved it!!
Itai seems to have a great style. No idea who Nii Hirotaka is but looking to his history he must be good.
Goku vs Toppo is easily my favourite fight of this arc so far. The part when Goku turned SSB to onwards is one of the most amazing things I saw in a DBS fight.
By order of my enjoyment:
1- Goku vs Toppo
2- Goku vs Bergamo
3- Gohan vs Lavenda
4- Buu vs Basil
But all of them have been fantastic, I just care much more about Goku and Gohan that I will ever care about Buu.
The construction of the ToP fighting arena was top notch.
Props to Kitano for being able to make Beerus look like a Bulldog in the end.
-NEP-
I thought the next episodes would be conservative, but what the hell is that beautiful Krillin vs Basil fight next week?!
Seriously there are no breaks on this arc. Hype!

A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

I'd prefer Tate to Shimanuki.ekrolo2 wrote:Would Shimanuki work as a replacement for Yamamuro for the role of character designer?
Tate making designs based on Toriyama's actual style will be marvelous.

I'd prefer Tate too but I'm curious as to how Shimanuki would work in that position.Alee9977 wrote:I'd prefer Tate to Shimanuki.ekrolo2 wrote:Would Shimanuki work as a replacement for Yamamuro for the role of character designer?

I don't want Toriyama's new art style adapted though, I really dislike it.

Imo, if he returned to his 100%, he would be a good CD for Super. His angular style may be hard for some KA to get, but I think they will be far better than Yamamuro.ekrolo2 wrote:Would Shimanuki work as a replacement for Yamamuro for the role of character designer?

If he was given time off from the show to focus on improving his art I bet he could get back to his old style, he's pretty close right now.Sodhi wrote: Imo, if he returned to his 100%, he would be a good CD for Super. i always see people writing if shimanuki go back to his older days he would be great and stuff and since i really have no clue whatsoever on his old style can you pls give me a comparison of his style then and now ?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 81
Only early episodes the art wasn't good, right now he is practically 1:1 with his old style.Nasryyy wrote:i always see people writing if shimanuki go back to his older days he would be great and stuff and since i really have no clue whatsoever on his old style can you pls give me a comparison of his style then and now ?

So it looking possible that tournament may not start until May. Considering #17 will be debuting in #86. This should give staff a lot of time to prepare. Curious to see how they use the staff.
