Sagas was the first of its kind in the DB world, theres could have been squeals to improve the flaws.. But I guess the first title has to be good enough to warrant a sequel. HOWEVER Burst Limit was Dimp's 6th game and they took steps backwards?
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Speaking of Sagas, hasn't anyone noticed how when someone gets hit they react like they're doing jumping jacks?

Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?
If they wanted to fix the flaws in Sagas they'd have to get a whole new team and rebuild everything from the ground up. Even then, I still wouldn't have faith in it because Dragonball Z and it's characters do not lend themselves to the Action-Adventure genre. Dragonball, sure; Z, no. Comparing it to Burst Limit makes no fucking sense. Dimps was actually working on two games and they not only built a complete game but it's arguably the best looking to date. On top of that, Burst Limit felt like the foundation for future(quality games). Look at Burst Limit from a marketing perspective, if they came out swinging with more characters than Budokai 3 spanning Dragonball through GT where would they go after that? What would be their selling points? Even if you chose to ignore this, and I can not stress this enough, the fact that Sagas is a broken mess of a game makes it objectively worse than just about every Dragonball game released. I can't wait for the day Taiketsu starts to get defended.goku the krump dancer wrote:Sagas was the first of its kind in the DB world, theres could have been squeals to improve the flaws.. Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?
I think it would work well. If they take from the Legacy of Goku series as a base and work way up, it has tons of potential to be the best DBZ game to date. They could always add some new minions or minor enemies, just like LOG. Maybe add some sidequests. With 3rd generation of Playstation, they can create a lot of space to work with. I think it will be fun to play. It's something new, after all.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:If they wanted to fix the flaws in Sagas they'd have to get a whole new team and rebuild everything from the ground up. Speaking of Burst Limit, some people want a sequel but I don't think we are getting one. If we got a BL2 then we would got one back in 2009.

Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?
So did everyone else not notice that they slightly edited their latest update with the banner to include this little tidbit the other day?
Perhaps we'll get something new that's slightly similar to Tekken but a whole lot more simple and accessible to casuals, not too unlike how the Dimps titles were.
OR, he really doesn't have much to do with the game at all and he's just part of some promotion for it or something.
For those who don't know, Harada's the producer of the Tekken series. I highly doubt we're getting a DBZ game heavily based on the Tekken gameplay, though, considering how long and costly it takes to develop such an intricate fighter. However, this update is intriguing none the less. The plan continues, stick around to be a part of it! — with Katsuhiro Harada

Well, that sure is interesting. I don't know what to expect now, but I'm definitely more hyped than I was before.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Katsuhiro Harada was not tagged by NamcoBandai or any community manager but by a random Facebook fellow, sorry to disappoint.

Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?
Well if Harada is involved then I'm sure it wouldn't be another lazy half-assed product. Looking at his history with the Tekken series it's clear he's a guy who takes the games he puts out very seriously and has always wanted to please fans. Just because he's the Tekken producer it doesn't mean that a DBZ game made by him would be like Tekken (although Tekken is a great game and DBZ in that style could make for an interesting experience).

He isn't. I jumped the gun a bit due to my unfamiliarity with FB mixed with an itty bitty bit of excitement over the thought of Harada being involved with a DBZ game. I went completely off the wall and threw my usual skepticism and better judgement right out the window for a impossible dream.90sDBZ wrote:Well if Harada is involved then I'm sure it wouldn't be another lazy half-assed product.

In the span of a minute I went from being really excited to really sad. The thought of having Harada or anyone involved in Tekken working on this game would have been amazing. Oh well I guess, one can only dream.Captain-Sora wrote:

To be fair, Dimps has put Budokai to its full potential with the many games of the Budokai series.TheMightyOzaru wrote:I just want another Budokai styled DBZ game. Tenkaichi is getting old.
The best is Budokai 3, and Infinite World is like an add-on of Budokai 3 (v3.5).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?
Me too since I think the Sparking gameplay starting to become boring by the third game. Sadly I think Burst Limit will likely end up being the last console DBZ game done by Dimps. Spike is most likely more cheaper which is why Namco Bandai sticks with them.TheMightyOzaru wrote:I just want another Budokai styled DBZ game.
