Gohan is the same. Still not too keen on that voice - too much rasp, taking the worst from a usually despised voice. Everyone else sounds fantastic, and you did a great job with the music Scott.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Oh yeah, and Freeza is coming up in the next part. If you could, cRookie_Monster, make a suggestion or act as the spokesperson for Daizex... Please suggest that they don't cast somebody to impersonate Linda Young. Just have a generic male voice and I'll be happy! Acting should be first priority; voices second.

Well, the thing is the person who started the entire project is the person who voiced Gohan. She wanted to do a general Funimation copy dub...and frankly noone matches her Gohan that we've heard. Most of this stuff has been recorded for ages. Those Gohan lines in Part 2 were done over a year ago! XD

They did ok. It seems like its open season for Gohan, so I'm not even going to bother with my two cents on the subject however the main issue I had was the music was louder than the vocals. The impressions are nice but they put such a stain on the voices that they come off as way to soft. Overall you guys did a decent job and I'm looking forward to seeing 3.The Time Traveller wrote:Next time find someone who can act, and not just do an impersonation.
Overall, it's pretty good. Other than the Gohan voice of course...
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Please ignore this request I cannot imagine Freeza sounding any other way than what we got from Funimation.Innagadadavida wrote:Oh yeah, and Freeza is coming up in the next part. The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

You live in a very depressing dragonworld my friend.Saiyan-Professor wrote:Please ignore this request I cannot imagine Freeza sounding any other way than what we got from Funimation.Innagadadavida wrote:Oh yeah, and Freeza is coming up in the next part. Anyway I'm sure this is awesome for big fans of the Funimation dub. It's certainly a project with a lot of gusto. Sometimes the music became WAY too loud though. I'm not a huge fan of the voices but that's due in part by me not liking the Funi voices much either.

English Freeza needs to be a relatively camp smart-ass. Not a raging homosexual stereotype.Saiyan-Professor wrote:Please ignore this request I cannot imagine Freeza sounding any other way than what we got from Funimation.Innagadadavida wrote:Oh yeah, and Freeza is coming up in the next part. That what make Freeza fun and interesting similar to Dr. Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.Freeza Heika wrote:English Freeza needs to be a relatively camp smart-ass. Dub Freeza is comparable Dr.Frank-N-Furter...that's an analogy I can get behind. Although I don't know whos point it's really supporting.Saiyan-Professor wrote:That what make Freeza fun and interesting similar to Dr. Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.Freeza Heika wrote:English Freeza needs to be a relatively camp smart-ass.
