Episode #0210! VegettoEX, Meri, and Hujio have a chill week and discuss the incredible amount of news. FUNimation has confirmed more about the domestic release of "Kai", the new "DragonBall DS 2" is announced for the US as "Origins 2", and a whole lot more kept us on our toes this week. We also catch up with a huge batch of listener e-mails with topics ranging from more name mispronunciations to the ever-resurfacing prospect of FUNimation re-releases. Referenced sites:
Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to
godofchaos for hosting the never-thought-we'd-get-there *two-hundred-ten* episodes, now.
Thanks to an e-mail during the show, this particular web and forum update brought to you with the assistance of listening to all the GT vocal songs in a row. Back to
Chrono Trigger, now.
w0rd.

Hey, if you get a interview with Kuririn's dub voice actor, you
WILL force him to say "Krillin's in the house!" at the end of the interview.
Anyways, sounds like a great episode thus far.

I love the Z Kai trailer. Just hearing a 'new' kamehameha got me excited.

Looking at the
video Heath mentioned in the podcast. Didn't know of its existence up until now. I'm kind of surprised of
Psychic Lover's appearance who I mostly know through the
Witchblade opening. It's pretty surreal.

BUY AWRE ORANGE BRICKS YOU WANT THEEEEEM~
I need to start a collection of soundclips of Mike's random outbursts.
Also dammit, that "what you need when you need it" slogan annoys the shit out of me. It's like, it's mocking you for making a typo.

I hope you get one of the actual talented cast members to talk about the Kai dub. Somebody like... hm, talented... Oh, Monica Rial!
Anime Expo NY was in 2002. It was the year I graduated from high school. It ran at the same time as BAAF, where I got to see the Cowboy Bebop movie's dub. These two events were my first anime con experiences.
Those choir versions of the DB OP and ED in the game commercials are beautiful. Those will be on some kind of CD, right? They bring tears to my eyes.
I want to see a sequel to Attack of the Saiyans as soon as possible. It was an awesome game.
Terry Klassen > Sonny Strait
Dragon Ball GT had great songs, despite the show's faiures. I love "Blue Velvet" as much as Meri. I especially love the credit sequence for it.

I'm enjoying the Kai DS game. I think I'd like to see a sequel to it. I wish its 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai arc had lasted longer though.
With the e-mail; while I would like to see Funi commission new DB from Toei, I still think the chances are very slim. The Jump Tour special really had me wanting more specials like it (I know I read in other thread that was Shueisha--which explains why I thought the color schemes used were a little different than Toei's usual ones, but the point remains).
Or maybe Toei IS planning a DBO anime tie-in for all I know and Funi's aware of it? Something DB-related that's new and could air after Kai finishes? I dunno.
Blue Dragon got an anime, though that was by Studio Pierrot, who I don't really care for; but I think Toei would do a good job art-wise on DBO.

Make sure to get, "Confirmed! Fuckin' sky is blue!"
That one caught me off guard.

That video has made my life.
Why can't Kageyama sing every song?

Is
that what he said? I kept rewinding the podcast to try and figure it out, but I was driving at the time, so I couldn't exactly devote my full attention to it, plus I was driving through an area with essentially no weak radio stations...
