I haven't seen the episode yet, but thoughts on the new animation:
OP - I really like the part with Gohan standing ontop of the palace/house at sunrise.

I think that's Kami's place.

Woah, new OP aniamation is pretty nice. It looks a lot better than the trouncing of Saibaimen, at least. The new ED... Complete apathy. That song did nothing for me.

Sadly for me, aside from that bit with Gohan in the OP, there weren't that many choice avatar possibilities here. I was hoping to find something to use from the new animation, but nothing stands out to me.

I respectfully disagree. Gohan in the ED works out just as well. ^_^

Gohan does look cute; I was hoping to find a new Vegeta to use as my avatar (if not here, someplace else) but the few new ones of him I saw didn't work for what I wanted. That Trunks at the end of the opening where the sponsors are announced is growing on me though. Maybe I'll use him somewhere.

None of the clips I've seen so far have shown the very end of the OP though; it always freezes on this hilariously agitated Vegeta with his mouth wide open, then skips over to the sponsor image. I'm positive the opening doesn't end on that. XD

Yeah the video is kinda lag(but I'm not the one who record it).

I opened a topic months ago especially for the new ending and opening and it gets completely ignored! Argh, how amazingly annoying.
But I'll get over it once I eat breakfast.


ANYWAY.... I still need to see the episode considering I just woke up, but it will be amazing no doubt. Can't wait.

I'm really surprised they kept the Saibamen in the new opening. It seems like a portion they'd want to get rid of and replace with something else.

Sadly, Tenshinhan and Chaozu don't really do a lot more than that in DBZ. So if they want them in the opening...

Hey uh...didja guys forget that this episode passes down Daisuke Gouri's roles to other actors? Cause Cold and Sea Turtle are now sporting different voices.

Gôri wasn't voicing Umigame in Dragon Ball Kai to begin with. Cold and Gyû-Maô were, however, recast with Ryûzaburô Ôtomo (Dragon Ball Z's Dabra and One Piece's Sir Crocodile). Ôtomo did a pretty good job as Cold, though. Too bad he won't be along for too long...

Hm. Didn't notice on Sea Turtle before (then again, he never had many lines).

Did catch on to Cold's voice being Crocodile's, though. I knew it sounded so damn familiar to something I heard on One Piece. Thanks for confirmin' that.

I dislike the new ending and what they did for the opener was a cop out, but over all I am excited for the Android/Cell arc. As for the episode, thought it was good, felt faster than the original episode and the redrawn scenes are getting better.

Are the still shots at the end of the OP supposed to be everyone helping Gohan during the beam struggle? That's what it looks like. I was hoping that would be cut.

Not really. Tenshinhan, Yamcha and Piccolo are doing their Kiko-Ho, Sokidan and Makankosappo attacks respectively in the opening. During that fight, they just used generic blasts.

And it looks like Chaozu didn't make the cut for the Dragon Team this time around.
