DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS was displayed for the first time at E3 today. A news release sent out after the press event named a DragonBall game coming from Namco-Bandai for the new handheld system. As posted on the home page of the site:

VegettoEX @ 2:38 pm EDT -- Earlier this afternoon, Nintendo officially unveiled the 3DS at the Electronics Entertainment Expo ("E3"). In a news release distributed after the event, it was revealed that a DragonBall game would be coming to the new handheld.

No concrete release date has been given for the system (other than a rough estimate of before the close of this fiscal year, ending March 2011), and no formal name or release date has been given for the new DragonBall game, which will be coming from Namco-Bandai.

What are you all looking for in a new, handheld game... and one with some kind of 3D functionality?

Maybe now I can finally have my dream of having Goku's penis poke out at me, at the beginning of the game (If it it follows the DB story).

I just hope it doesn't turn out all gimmicky... like everything on the 3DS will be

I also second on the Attack of the Saiyans 2. I would love something completely different for a Dragon Ball game like a Mario's Party Style game or a racing game, but I think we know that would never happen.

I know Namco Bandai probably wouldn't put this out, but I'd like to see an updated the Legacy of Goku series. It was one of the better DBZ game series, in my opinion. The original could definitely use a remake, not to mention that there was never anything in that style done for DB or GT.

I was really planning to buy this just for the fact that I'm totally bought with this, the DragonBall game is definately a fantastic bonus. It seems that some of the old-school games are going to be a part of this, obviously Mario Kart, but things like Star Fox 64 3D and Ridge Racer found on the old Nintendo 64, I'm disappointed about no Zelda release as of yet though but Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy are all there.

EDIT: It's been announced that Ocarina of Time 3D will be coming out on this console, there are 4 screenshots to back this up so no Zelda release is no longer true.

However, the fact that it is said that no special glasses will be needed for this release makes me wonder if it will really be what it says. I would be amazed if something in the game made me flinch or atleast play great tricks with how my mind percieves the screen. It will definately be great to see another DragonBall game, however I still cling onto that hope that it isn't "just another DragonBall game" - most of you guys should know what I'm talking about.

I want a Legacy of Goku 3D so bad. There's really no chance in hell that that'll ever happen though. With Atari out of the picture we probably won't see a Western developed DragonBall game anytime soon.

Whatever the 3DS game is... please don't be a fighting game.
