I didn't notice any big improvements from the Z version of this material. But maybe it was because Keyhole was acting up.

Also, the music is getting so dull.

By my calculations, this episode covered 3 chapters and 5 pages of manga material.
At this rate I think we should be seeing Cell in about two or three episodes time.

I really don't understand the censoring in Kai. Vegeta got a hit on his head, he started to bleed, yet when 18 gave him the knee, they edited the blood to white...

I agree, I also preferred the first form of Cell to the other two.
Uber-buff Cell near the end of the arc still gives me a chuckle though.

Whoa, what? The music during Vegeta and 18's first little scramble at the beginning was actually really well scored. It was bombastic and had plenty of energy. Sure, the second half of the fight used older music from Kai, but it wasn't dull music and it's better for them to switch it up. I really, honestly do not see where you're coming from that it's DULL.

Then again, after watching Kai dubbed, I've gained a new respect for the score, I think. Don't take that as me saying I like it better than the old score, I'm not even going to compare them. I just like Kai's score a lot more after watching the dub.

YAY for the sound effects editors continuing to give a damn, #17's clapping matched this time, as I knew it would. Most importantly though, no bullshit Marron filler, that alone brings the Kai version several notches above the Z version. Also, #16 and Tenshinhan definitely do not sound exactly the same from what I was hearing. I also quite liked the choice of having no music during Vegeta's scream when his arm was broken.
