I never understood why they just sat there on the chunk of ice like they were stranded. They could have just flown away.

Looks like multiple lines to me.

He said "The addition of lines." Seems vague enough to me that he might have been referring to any addition of lines to a scene.

That whole scene was incredibly pointless. The added dialogue actually makes it worth watching and gave it somewhat of a purpose.

I'm going to kick the dead horse and say it was just pointless. It didn't ruin anything either though, its just there. FUNi changed like every line, I don't see why anyone would be that concerned with this one line in particular.

I didn't think it was any better than "not 'til the fish jumps". They're both stupid "jokes", that only pre-teens would find funny.

I'm pretty sure atleast half the people that agree it is funny are out of high school and I'm in my twentys.

And just for the record...that joke was in a movie FOR pre-teen boys; so mission accomplished according to you.

So was the Japanese version, but the producers there didn't feel a need to add in corny jokes.

Well, have it in a commentary track. I think I might've even laughed if they were doing their silly commentary, then all of a sudden went to a Piccolo and Vegeta voice and said that. But in just a normal viewing, it ruins the joke.

I just see it as the usual "Obligatory random shot of Piccolo and Vegeta" that was done in Movie 9. I don't possibly see how you could pull any humor out of it. At least the dub pointed out the silliness of *Random Piccolo and Vegeta shot**Random Fish jump*

That loses the whole point of the joke.

1. Vegeta and Piccolo would never just be sitting there together
2. They verbally acknowledge that they both are in a movie
3. As well as they know when the end of the movie will be.
4. Its a comic back-and-forth between the two loners of the show

If it were any other 2 characters, it wouldn't have the same impact.
