Speaking of Trunks, Takeshi Kusao sounded kind of different in this episode, didn't he?

Kusao's been deepening his voice a lot for Super Saiyan Grade 2-3, which might explain his sounding different.

Trunks finally gets his moment (kinda)

The Cell Games are finally almost upon us.

Whoa, jeeze, that very first scream was... awkward sounding. More annoying than powerful.

I enjoyed the use of lone warrior, fit the moment really well! Other than that, glad to see a particularly tedious section of Z episodes nicely condensed.

Goku's USSJ was weird. She kept screaming even though her mouth was closed and Gohan was talking.

MY GOSH, the first half was epic beyond belief. I really had to be patient to watch in the best quality there is and MAN was it worth while.

- They played the awesome theme.
- The animation was 120%, making the fight so epic and it just totally puts the other Shonen Jumpers to shame!!!!
- The Toei staff did a spectacular job for scenery and effects then and now. You can tell.

And he deserved it very much indeed.

Second half.

DANG, as soon as the nonsense came in the animation dropped as if it was in a hurry. No music, no style (http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/2152/colorless.jpg...even the colors didn't want to be in the episode anymore.) and all while you had to see a brilliant character go down just because that monkey in the timechamber can't give up his throne. Well that's how I see it and I kind of got the sense that the Toei staff was on a similar wavelength.

Or maybe it was just coincidence, but a great ending was thrown away for the sake of.

But Akira sure made up for it with this joke:




Yeah, let the nine/ten days of peace under Cell's jurisdiction begin. Take away all the thrill and dynamic as fast as you can. Insert the comedy, the ridicule and the sunshiney days. It was ment to be like this and I'm at peace with it. (>_<)v

The worst animated episode in the history of Dragonball didn't look that bad in Kai. Of course that only happened cause only a few shots are present. Glad Trunks didn't keep bulking for ever and ever and ever... even though the shot where he magically triples his size, right before he goes for Cell, should be left out.

Awesome soundtrack though.

OMG! I just loved the end! It made me laugh. I never realized Cell was so cool!!

I was truly impressed with the beginning of the fight. Not only did The Lone Warrior fit perfectly, but the graphics and special effects were amazing in this new version!!
They now made that regular scene one of the legendary scenes of the series, to be memorized as "Trunks' big moment" in the story. Way to go!

I loved the use of Trunks' new song. I felt like I just came out of left gear, though. Regardless, it was cool.
