I really hope no one is complaining about it playing like BT/RB now...it's not like you couldn't tell from the trailer.

Huh...? This doesn't look anything like the Sparking!/Raging Blast games. Maybe it's made by Spike (who knows?), but the gameplay, character models, and backgrounds look far from the previous Spike games.

Watch this video.

I'm really not warming to the graphics. They look too stiff (see Vegeta at 0:41) and their muscles just look off (see Goku's arm at 0:56). The stage, however, does look detailed and pretty to look at.

Having said that, the gameplay looks awesome. Freeza shooting a Death Beam through Kuririn, Vegeta and Goku at once, #16 beating Vegeta on the floor while Piccolo charges up a Makankosappo and Goku holding Vegeta in a full-nelson a la Raditz are all things I've never seen before in a Dragon Ball game and it intrigues me to know how they'll incorporate this in the new fighting engine. I hope it gets ported to the Xbox 360/PS3.

I dunno, even in stills it looks pretty good to me. I think the new team mechanics are really neat.

If I had to make a graphical comparison I would say they look like upgraded models from Sagas.

I still think the graphics look horrible, everyone looks like an action figure.

I don't see how you guys don't see resemblances to "Sparking!" in the first trailer. Just watching that gameplay screams "Sparking!" to me. The only difference is multiple players, meaning a few different camera/character angles.

Not a bad thing, just saying.

It seems like the only one who thinks this game looks nothing to the Sparking games, but more of a throw back to Legends. Since this a arcade game then the chances are that we will get no story mode if they do port the game to the PS3 and 360.

It is clearly either a sparking incarnation or heavily influenced by it. Which wouldn't be surprising seeing as how popular the games are in Japan. The movement, attacks, and camera angles all closely resemble the sparking series.

I wish the game had a style similar to Ultimate Ninja 2, but at least the graphics are consistent. I like that it's a new style in a different direction, something different to look at can't hurt. Right? As for gameplay, I know it looks like a Sparking type game but I'm hoping that these developers took notes and went in there own direction. Looking at the trailer that's what it seems to be. I mean already we see characters running, which while may sound silly, when was the last time you played a Dragonball game where characters ran?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Seems Sparking!-esque, if with some clever changes. The free-for-all style actually looks really interesting.

Even the cosmetic changes are intriguing. Yes, the models look a bit plastic and stiff, but I'm all for this pseudo-realistic approach, if only for the fact that it's something different. We've had anime-esque cel-shading for how many years now? I'm ready for something new.

Oh, and look at that! Characters actually run! Like, use their legs on the ground and everything. Cool stuff. Honestly, this is probably the most interested I've been in a new Dragon Ball game since Sparking! Meteor.

I'm really waiting for more videos, I can't go off a small snippet of random clips put together.

Yeah, we can't see them do too much, it's true we can't see what the gameplay's like when we only see a grab, combo, and some beam attacks.

It seems like the comments for this game have been possive unlike the comments for RB 1-2 where people where saying "Oh look another DBZ game. It looks like shit".

Well, Raging Blast 2 was the fifth game in as many years (6th counting the PSP game) of the exact same type from the exact same developer.

ANY kind of information that shines this game in a new light (even something as inside-baseball as what handles the netcode) is going to get fans excited, at this point.

I really hope this comes to consoles. I'll shell out for an Arcade Cabinet if I have to.

So this game will never come to America huh? They also said that about Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
