James Marsters says DB E 2 will probably not happen.

He was asked at Megacon recently on if this movie would get made and he simply said it would probably not happen. He also mentions a bit of what they had planned for Z and he was even asked if he ever seen one of the unofficial DragonBall live action movies.

(Even though I'm terribly curious about what they would've done to Vegeta in a sequel. He's never been in any of the live action movies so it'd set a precedent.)

Now if only that DB reboot listing on IMDB could be removed.

If it did well in Asia, who knows. I figure if they ever did something, it would be direct-to-video, but it seems way unlikely.

Marsters is one of the good things about Evolution though, if only because he's a good actor and a fan... he was just saddled with not-so-great material. I always wondered if Funimation ever tried to levy his fandom into doing a bit voice or something.

My main problem with Evolution is that they grittied it up, where I think they should've pulled a Speed Racer and embraced Toriyama's style and paintings with the subtle greens and his weird choice of color in the design of the movie. All those cool contraptions that Toriyama drew would've been awesome on the big screen. The movie is really dark and orange and murky, though.

The real news would have been if they did end up doing a sequel. Could anyone possibly be surprised that they aren't making one?

I was still hoping for a sequel.

Z is the more popular part of the series, a Saiyan saga movie could probably go well if they tried a little harder and probably retconned some things.

Considering what they did to Piccolo, I imagine what Dodoria, Freeza and Zarbon would look like

The thought that anyone on the face of the Earth would think a sequel should be made makes my stomach quiver. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but that movie was... was... I'll just leave it at that.

James Marsters seems like a really nice guy. He was the only cast member that actually had an interest in Dragon Ball.

I was still hoping for a sequel, just not from FOX. Who knows, someone might pick up the rights in the future.

I was surprised to hear somebody really liking DBE. James seems like a really fun guy to talk to.

And really, his Piccolo wasn't the biggest problem the movie had. More like, sets looking like they were straight out of a Flintstones movie. Stuff like that.

Alright, this made me laugh and brought back some good/bad memories! Back on topic, after finally seeing DB E, yeah... Never imagined a sequel made to that mess.

Got to blame Fox on DBE since they did not want to lose the rights and told James Wong to do anything he wants with the film. Good to see some news on a sequel, and if a sequel was made then it would have been a direct to video sequel. Some direct to video sequels even up being better like the second Guyver movie and the 3rd Starship Troopers movie (Not as good as the first movie, but better then the second film for sure IMO). Who knows on how the sequel would turn out.

Maybe Fox will reboot the series with a serious director, and someone who cares for the series like Nolan does with Batman.
