Europe gets DBZ 3 "collector's version"!!!

Post by sangofe » Mon Apr 18, 2005 7:35 am

This is certainly awesome news from us people from Europe:
Here, from http://www.playerone.be/news.php?id_new ... 5fdaca6867:

"Après le succès mérité de Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 sur Playstation 2, Atari compte sortir une version collector de son jeu de combat fétiche. Quoi de nouveau au programme ? Cette version aura une nouvelle jaquette, les voix japonaises ainsi que trois nouveaux personnages déblocables. Ce collector sera disponible le 21 juin prochain en Europe. En exclusivité, voici la nouvelle jaquette du jeu."

After the deserved sucess DBZ budokai3 on PS2 got, Atari is planning to release a collector's version of this fighting game (don't really know what fétiche means).
What's new?
This version will have a new cover, the Japanese voices, and three new characters you can de-block.
The collection version will be disponible this 21 June, in Europe.
In all exclusivity, here's the new cover of the game:

That's wonderful news. I can hopefully assume that it would come to Australia. If it does, I'm not sure whether or not I'd buy it...

Curses!

"SS Kakarot" posted this on another site:

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... 34-6788835

Don't have a PS2 [yet?], so not really interesting for me at the moment. These things will probably be included in the GC version anyway ;)

If this is true it would be sweet,
I would not have to wait to rebuy Budokai 3 on Gamecube and could just buy Budokai 2 for Gamecube,
and on top of that own a version of Budokai 3 the way it should have been on the PS2.
Expecially because of the Japanese voices.
Though I wonder which 3 characters they'd add?
I don't hope they count Bulma as a character since she is not supposed to fight,
though I would be glad with #19, Dodoria and Zarbon with new moves,
since they were supposed to be in the game anyway.
I keep my fingers crossed this isn't a late lame April fools joke.

9 chances out of 10 these 3 extra characters are just three of the extra skins from the Japanese version.

What are the skins of the Japanese version?
I only know of Bulma.
Oh I just got it confirmed that the gameshop where I get my games knows of it yet the person was not yet able to order the game.
So I convinced now

The extra skins are Piccolo Daimaoh, Trunks with long hairs and Gokuu with a halo.

Hmmm well not really what you'd call different characters,
in 1 case I wouldn't even consider it another costume set.
But it would not be the 1st time they'd use false advertising.
In then we even have nail as an alternative character.
Well only time will tell.
Thanks for the answer anyway,
Does someone know of a link to pictures of these characters?

Bulma isn't actually a skin as well, there are only some people that have been able to unlock a glitched version of her by using (too much) cheats.

YES! Get in there! *Stands up and raises arms victoriously, then quickly sits back down in embrassment*

A cookie to anyone who can guess what famous comedy show sketch that is from, but for once Europe gets something Dragonball-related that is better than what the American fans get.

We had the Japanese voices in DBZB1.

Part of me is tempted to chip in my copy of DBZB3 and buy this. I wonder if it'll be able to read off my DBZB3 save.

No...? At least, I am 100% sure they're right, but doesn't it simply say "Kanzenban" and "shin" [new] ?

The one in the middle is "kin" (gold) but I'm not sure about the other two.

Kin (gold) is 金, that middle kanji is 全 Zen (complete)
