That recap bit at the beginning was great! So the next batch is 16-19? Maybe I'll just wait 'till the next GT review materializes before I watch those episodes :P

I'm curious, what did the ScrewAttack folks need clarified for the Goku Death Battle? Or were they just being cautious since this is a series whose fans love to keep misinformation alive?

But that GT review pledge recap, I was not expecting. Bravo! I remember some of those! Glad you're getting to Rild, so a recurring story finally picks up.

Great podcast as the usual and great to see the GT review of awesomeness come back. Hopefully, I can finish Chrono Trigger (via new game +) before the next podcast ends! I just beat Magus, so I still got a ways to go.

Lol, you guys really are on tv tropes. Must be pretty weird to see yourselves on there right?

Hey, if you're gonna use the new Battle of Gods preview as the basis for the next podcast episode would it be possible to drag Jeff along? I'd be very interested in hearing his opinions.

Ack! Mike, Gouri wasn't the one who filled in as Muten Roushi, Yanami Jouji was! :P

Interesting to hear you guys talk about the animation being "pretty good right now," as if there's an expectation it's going to take an overall downturn in the future.

Is there some reason you're all anticipating it? Uchiyama's work is some of his worst ever, but all the other studios are on the top of their game in GT (if not quite as impressive as Cockpit in the Boo arc), and not having to adhere to Toriyama's (usually pretty basic) composition allows them to do some pretty cool things.

At the very least, the non-Uchiyama episodes toward the end of the series look just as good as they do toward the beginning. I'd say better, actually.

Yeah, all the bad episodes at this point are just Uchiyama's episodes. If you look at the rotation Last House wasn't too involved early on in the series (2, 7, 12, 18, 23, 26, 29, 34, 39, 41, 45, 50, 53, 55, 58, 62). You can tell that later on in the series Toei began to say "To Hell with it" and stopped pumping a lot of money into Dragon Ball. This is to say nothing of Koizumi's episodes (36, 43, 49, 54), either.

Nah, I'd say it's just a precautionary kind of statement (though I can definitely picture some off-model stuff later in the series, some of which is already/also covered in the Animation Styles Guide).

Are they Uchiyama episodes by chance? I think 58 is a strong contender for the worst-looking episode of all three series.

But other than that, I can't remember much wrong. Although people seem to pick a bone with whichever team did the Goku vs. Cell and Freeza episode which, while slightly off-model, I always thought looked pretty good and was at least animated well.

Basically everything. Like, every feat we could think of, any actual numbers/multipliers the guides gave, etc. Mike wasn't kidding when he said it was dozens of pages of information.

And now I want to see this, nitty-gritty though it may be.

great episode, I love the review of awesomeness, It makes me want to rewatch GT for better or worse  I have to say that the small Super 17 arch has to be my favorite set of episodes from GT, after Super 17 died the show lost me and the ending wasn't nearly as well done as the Draron Ball Z ending

I hate to bump this thread but I was just re listening to this episode today and I was wondering if you'll ever do that Chrono Trigger podcast with Meri?
