Last I checked they kinda died in the red ribbon arc? I would post a clip, but that would involve posting an entire episode sooooooooooo....

They were wished back with the dragonballs... offscreen. For no reason. By someone we never met. Who gathered the dragonballs in an unknown way. At an unknown time.

cuz...fun cameo?

I always saw it as a fun throwback tossed in for a quick harmless filler cameo that plays with the characters and their personalities as if they were in some alternate universe.
