Kai Episode 100 (13 April 2014)

I'm waiting for english subs so I haven't seen the episode yet but something that has bothered me with the new OP and EDs along with eye catches is just how much they show.

During Kai's first run we got glimpses of what was happening and whatever villains were relevant at the time were shown.. unlike in this new season we are seeing stuff like Goku/Vegeta fusion and Goku vs Kid Buu already when those events are well what? 30 episodes down the line?

So, after watching this another 2-3 times, I can get where some people are coming from with the music complaints, but not to such a degree. Yes, it takes some getting used to i'll admit that but I really don't see its nearly as bad as some other have said. The music sounds fine to me, just needs a little better placement is all.

We're only two episodes in so i'd advise passing judgement till we get further in and see how the music placement continues to be handled.

Like I said before, I quite enjoyed the music.

It's strange, I had been out of Dragon Ball for quite a while, but this new series of Kai has drawn me back in again.

Couldn't Toei digitally edited Gohan cut and have Videl approach Gohan bout him being Saiyanman? To save the entire episode? Anyways my opinions. Nozawa kills it. Awesome. She been doing better lately compared to BoG and Dbz Kai pre Boo. The music is still bad and maybe because I prefer Bruce F in this arc. I do miss Yammamto though. One Hit To Victory fits SSJ3. Also think Copyamamto would be great for Saiyanman. Quality is great. I love the tint honestly.

I did not like this episode at all the pacing was all over the place.

It did not look as bad as the last episode.

The soundtrack is awful but like the music piece at the end founding it most siting track of the KAI's boo arc as of now.

Videl's new VA is growing on me, I do not mind a cuter sounding Videl but I believed she give her final line of asking for flying lessons sounded way to cute all most flirting sounding.

I hope it gets better as it goes on.

Seems like I'm In minority here, but I'm really enjoying this and I dont care about Kai.
Maybe this will be the saga that I enjoy more in these version.

I'm already used the Opening and Ending too. But I still find the Opening to be the worst the series had until now.

And just like I thought, Sumitomo is kicking Yamamoto ass. Love that sountrack that played when Videl was talking about the Tenkaichi Budokai with Gohan.
One of my favourites from him so far.

Not fan of the footage color though.

This is literally Faulconer levels of fucking abysmal.

I guess people will like Kai Boo Arc if they grew up with Bruce. Though I did I like BruceProductions in Boo arc. I hate this score

I hate this music sooooooooo much. As much as I wanted the rest of Kai to come out so I could complete my collection....I just might pass on it now.

I actually like the soundtrack of Buu Kai so far, and this is coming from someone who really doesn't like the US score too much either.. It just doesn't sound as grating to me, maybe because it isn't constantly forced down your ear like Funi DBZ. The final scene and the music used with Goku was great in my opinion!

Great episode, I can tell I'm going to enjoy the Buu saga so much more than DBZ. Pacing is done well and Trunks' 'no comment' line made me laugh

Most of the music more resembles Nathan Johnson's UUE score than Faulconers. His was always droning synth, whereas Faulconer Productions emphasized melodies (for the most part).

I'm not a fan of the Faulconer music, but I like this music. I hated it at first, but it grew on me. I really like these couple episodes and I can tell I will like this much more than the original. I really enjoyed the filler, so I was shocked how I didn't miss any of it, and actually liked that it was skipped more! I want to sell my Dragon Boxes after this comes out on Blu Ray!

Think about it this way when kai was first created they only intended for 98 to 99 episodes so they had a decent budget. Enough to let yamamoto use an actual orchestra, let q-tech remaster the episodes etc. However this was thrown off by the music scandel, the earth quake, and low sales on home releases. So they put kai on a three year hiatus originally intending to only air it overseas yet it still returned to japan. But given toei probably wants to wrap up kai decided to take the cheapest route
