So do you guys think the animation for the movie will be worse, on par or better than what we got on Battle Of Gods, judging from the footage we've seen. Because personally it looks like to me that this movie will have an uneven tone of animation quality. I mean some shots look fantastic and other looks so very average. Tadayoshi Yamamuro is still a decent animator in opinion but he has certainly regressed in some areas of his animation quality, with his style becoming somewhat obsessed with being as angular as possible and at times it seems as though he forgets what a circle look like. Hell, I bet if Tadayoshi Yamamuro was a gamer, he'd only ever use the square and triangle button.

Battle of Gods looks rough, though not quite as rough as the 2008 Jump special.
I'd be surprised if this turns out to be a downgrade. The fact that we saw no 3D CGI is promising on its own.
That said, it won't be anything groundbreaking, either; it still looks pretty sterile.
It's worth keeping in mind that this is just a trailer.

My guess is that it will be worse. Toei Animation is busier now than they were when they created the previous film, the industry as a whole is much busier, meaning freelancers will be spread thinner. The film was assigned to a new director who is neither a fabulous animator, designer, or storyboard artist despite over twenty years of experience. How large a budget could be assigned to the film if the film has been assigned to someone with no previous work that would be worthy of a director, let alone an action director and let alone the director of a film in one of the largest international franchise at Toei Animation?
The only chance this film has at being great is if the production supervisors or Yamamuro manage to corral a tone of talented key animators and lets them do as they please.
Apart from the Instant Transmission one, that's some pretty good art! This Buu arc Gohan drawing looks pretty badass. Hard to think it's the same guy as the guy in Fukkatsu no F, lol.

EDIT: By the way, there's a button to skip the lightning animation on the official website now. Not sure when that was added but I'm guessing it's new.

It's been there for a good long while. I've been using it for at least a month.
Anyway, it's nice to see Kuririn so soon. I was honestly expecting new info to only really pop up in V-Jump, but I'll definitely take more whenever I can get it.

Also, the more info we get about the already revealed characters, the more I find it likely that the others (Goten, Trunks, Yamcha, etc.) won't appear in the movie.
