It's not going to be the original Super Saiyan God because he's a pure good Saiyan.

It doesn't matter if he's the first one or not (it was implied that he was the original Saiyan God). The requirement of becoming the God is six pure hearted Saiyans. The pure hearted Saiyan doesn't equate well with the "despair".

Have not been on for a while! Well I'm guessing two people might be revived. Number 16 or Number 17. But for some odd reason I get the feeling we are going to see the Future Saiyan Warrior from the upcoming DBZ Xenoverse game in this new movie. Who knows of course. We'll see in 2015.

I think it's going to be one of these scenarios...

They revive someone from the past who they need to solve some problem they're facing, but they turn out to be evil
They're tricked into reviving someone evil who they were told was good
Goku or Vegeta finds out about a super strong person from the past and revives them so they can battle them, but they turn out to be evil or they're pissed off for having been revived.

Hmmm this is interesting, lots of theories going around but for me personally I think the one who will be revived is going to be a completely new character. Though I would be interested in seeing the Original SSJ.

I agree, with all of this in mind it's easy to believe that this is how the new character Akira Toriyama is working on would be introduced.

Jokes aside, I am curious as to who they could revive...perhaps someone wishes back some ancient evil or something. Or revives a dead god.

Revive huh? Interesting. The possibilities are endless but I'm unsure who could be revived that could cause despair. If Freeza was revived for example he would just get scrubbed out by Tenshinhan or some shit.

If I had to guess it's some type of ancient evil type character, maybe delving into Earth's past, rather than the past of other planets.

Something I find odd in the fandom right now is the fact that peopl with the speculation of hypathetical SSJG Broly view him in his legendary body. I don't think thats the case if we consider Toriyama's concepts. He'd probably be in his base form with the energy as I'd see it and that would crush a lot of dreams for his fans.

I guess my post got swept away in all the excitement, but I'll ask again since it still seems pretty relevant with all this talk of 'first SSJG' and 'Saiyan race' revivals.

I thought the Dragon Balls couldn't revive a person who'd been dead longer than a year, is that no longer the case? My memory is fuzzy and googling will likely bring up some dub-logic answer.

I also thought there was a limit of a year (unless I'm mixing Shenlong up with Porunga?) but I guess the person they're bringing back wouldn't necessarily have had to have been dead a whole year. It may not be an ancient evil after all.

Or maybe it's one of those "Toriyama forgot" instances; like how Goten, Trunks, Marron, and Dende all look younger than they're supposed to be in BOG.

You guys are right, there is a time frame for which a person can be revived, but I'm not sure if that applies to all the versions of the Dragonballs.
