You can still use VLC to read Blu-ray if you have Window 7 or 8.sangofe wrote:Was this aimed at the guy buying the blu ray set? If so, go back to page one of this thread and you'll find this:DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:You should download VLC and use snapshot option to screencap images.

From what I've seen, the green tint appears to be nonexistent on the home release. I don't have a computer that reads Blu-rays so I'm not sure how to take a screenshot other than just snapping a shot of my TV.

It's a shame they don't have anything going on in the back like Funi's covers but they do have great disc art which is something Funi's don't.

Re: Buu Saga Box Set
All of the boxes have come with a back covering like this which has the episode titles and such. They just slip right off the box though. I kept them all, just not on the boxes.sintzu wrote:It's a shame they don't have anything going on in the back like Funi's covers but they do have great disc art which is something Funi's don't.

Thanks again for sharing that with us ! ^^ Indeed, the disc art is awesome, really .Could you please tell us/show us more about the booklets ? And, is there any word about the remastering process ?
Re: Buu Saga Box Set
Funi really needs to step up their game in terms of packaging.

Re: Buu Saga Box Set
Well my only real complaint from FUNi is they have stopped using disc art now, other than that I am happy with how the package their releases.

Re: Buu Saga Box Set
You lose the disc art but they're still printing the slipcovers (Blu-rays look better with slipcovers than without), so it's a win-loss situation.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
Re: Buu Saga Box Set
I really don't like that green. It ruins everything.
Re: Buu Saga Box Set
I'd take the disc art any day over some slip cover that i never use.dbboxkaifan wrote:You lose the disc art but they're still printing the slipcovers (Blu-rays look better with slipcovers than without), so it's a win-loss situation.

Re: Buu Saga Box Set
My friend on Twitter gave me some screencaps from the DVD box. I see nothing different here except for the DVD version being very slightly brighter. The Blu-ray version might be different, but I doubt it.

Re: Buu Saga Box Set
Wasn't that an issue with the DVDs of the first phase of Kai as well? If I recall, there was talk of a pretty noticeable difference in quality between the two formats. It's no secret that one of the main draws of Kai was the fact that it was HD and that the Blu-rays were Toei's largest focus. I'm still sticking to my guns in that the quality of the Blu-rays, to my eyes, is improved from the broadcast.kei17 wrote:The Blu-ray version might be different, but I doubt it.

The only difference was the footage being sharpened too much and the colors were the same.Freeza Soldier #156 wrote:Wasn't that an issue with the DVDs of the first phase of Kai as well? Re: Buu Saga Box Set
According to Marc, the colors on Toei's previous Kai DVDs were more washed out than what was seen on the Blu-rays (http://www.fanboyreview.net/wp-content/ ... pdated.png). Either way, it's clear from his full review that Toei definitely put less effort into the DVDs compared to the Blu-rays. Maybe the difference is even more noticeable this time. Who knows? The only way to know for sure is to see it for yourself. I'm just going by what I've seen and what I think about it.kei17 wrote:The only difference was the footage being sharpened too much and the colors were the same.Freeza Soldier #156 wrote:Wasn't that an issue with the DVDs of the first phase of Kai as well? Re: Buu Saga Box Set
Are the opening and ending presented creditless on the Blu-ray set?
