Back in July of 2015, there was a topic concerning the Kai version of the original Dragon Ball manga as seen in this link:http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... 16&t=31027
It's got official subtitles, both the English and Japanese audio tracks and uses Dragon Box footage. Does something like this exist for Z, using purely original footage & audio to cut out the filler and keeping the original score?

Dragon Ball Z Kai - Fan Edition?
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Fan Edition?
I once tried doing a fan recut of the series. My lack of time made me drop it, but I managed to finish the Saiyan saga, which took 10 episodes (6 less than the original Kai!).
It was a very rough work, to be fair. I'd like to try it again someday, but I'm unsure about what software to use: I'd like to use a program which allowed me to edit the subs at the same time, and I struggled with finding ways to convert the footage with a good result.

Wow, only 10 episodes? I didn't realize Kai left that much stuff in from anime.UltimateHammerBro wrote:I once tried doing a fan recut of the series. My lack of time made me drop it, but I managed to finish the Saiyan saga, which took 10 episodes (6 less than the original Kai!).

The pacing suffered in some scenes though. For instance, Goku died at the end of episode 3, met Kaio in episode 4, and left his planet in the last minutes of episode 5.ekrolo2 wrote:Wow, only 10 episodes? If I redid it, it could take around 11 or 12.
