For me the biggest gripe is the colouring even in that shot you give the colour seems "off" especially like I said aura-less just too unappealing you are right SS3 is the best of the 3 but it is rarely used. Eh, I always disliked when they made Super Saiyan essentially incredibly stiff hair that never moves. Uh... no? Goku and Vegeta are the only ones with Blue, no reason to think anyone else will get the form.
