"HD" quality LOL.
Best case scenario, its using both the Level sets transfer and the Blu-Ray Seasons transfer. Second best case is only the Blu-Ray Seasons transfer. Worst case, its using the Orange Bricks transfer.
There is no way they are using either the old Digital Betacam transfers or the Dragon Box transfer.

It's in 16:9, so everybody knows.

Yeah I'm watching it on Xbox One. It's in 16:9 and it's very, very bright.
Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
That still isn't a fair price for the Season Set footage. They'd have to literally offer money to get a download from me.

Personally, I would rather get the Season Blu-Rays than these downloads... At least those have lossless audio for the English dub (lossless surround sound is good for fanedits)

How are you guuys getting this? I'm just getting a ''Try again in a while. We're doing a little maintenance.'' error message... And I've been trying for three days.

Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
I just want to point out that since the beginning of this sale, FUNimation has begun to roll out their new HD transfers found on the Season Set Blu-rays on all of their digital distribution platforms. Both XBOX Video and Playstation Video were unique in that the last five episodes of Season 1 used the HD transfers that would've been made available on the canceled "Level 2.1" Blu-ray set.
Playstation Video is now the last service to contain the unreleased Level Set footage, but this will likely change sometime in August when Sony's anime sale begins.

Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
I assume this means that those of us with the Xbox Video versions of the show with Level-set footage will now have the Season-set footage instead? Bummer if so. I have the Blu-Rays (Although I've misplaced the first one), but it was nice having access to the episodes that they did that didn't make it to disc.
Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
These are the orange boxes, or the newest "HD" season set transfers?
Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
Has anyone backed up the Level Sets 2.1 episodes that were on Xbox and Sony before they get wiped out completely?

Re: DBZ First Season free at Microsoft Store
Do they have subtitles for the dubbed version? Hulu has subtitles for the first episodes but they only go up to episode 10. I really wanted to have the "script" for the whole series in both Japanese and the dub and it's really bugging me knowing that I might have to figure out what they're saying each time I want to type it.
