I hate April Fools Jokes like the one on this front page...

Post by MajinBijiita » Fri Apr 02, 2004 12:13 am

For a second I was so exstatic I almost cried...and then I remembered it is April first. I think I am going to die. I mean, come on, this is really going to kill some people...

Haha, it happens. Just eat some cheese, or something. I guarantee this will restore your will to live.

If not, there's always seppuku. Assuming your arms are long enough...

My friend (named Bob) at school tricked everyone... He brought a letter saying he had to move back to Massachusettes so I made a comic dedication thing. I made Bob the dog say he was leaving, too, and all the other dogs were sad. And then he told me it was a joke, so I made Bob the dog get run over by Ramen Bowl Dog (he slides around standing in a ramen bowl). But his real name is Gohan. :D
Yes... I am... but you don't know that...

Damn, what am I thinking?! I mixed up seppuku with something else... I guess I just disgraced everyone who has ever commited seppuku.

So... who is going to be my kaishakunin? Anyone brushed up on their skills?

And what the hell are you talking about, Jersey-sama?

I was in my room so much I didn't even pay attention! O.o I don't know if she got it fixed or bought a new one. O_o I'll have to ask her.

*sniff* That's the most well-planned, beautiful seppuku ritual I've ever read! *sniff* I'm truly moved, and if you're still looking for a kaishakunin, I'll gladly volunteer! You can be sure that I'll slice you properly, and hey, I'd loooove to chop your head off. :P

And I'm inviting everyone who won't puke all over the floor when it happens. The blood itself is damn trouble. :)

Yeah, that's exactly what seppuku is... ritual disembowelment.

For a really gruesome and real look at how it transpired from time to time, check out Yukio Mishima's "Patriotism." The reviews / descriptions there do a much better job than I ever could. it's really cheap, too... $7 (it's a short story).

Mishima was so into this way of thinking, that he wrote and starred in the film adaptation of the story, and eventually committed seppuku himself. Unhappy with the Japan of the 20th century, Mishima urged Japan's youth to take up arms and rebel against the government. In November of 1970, he read his manifesto to soldiers, shouted "Long live the emperor!" three times, and disemboweled himself.

Uhhh... as you can see, I feel very strongly about that story... and liked it... it's a very tough read (not in difficulty, but in stomaching it)...

And I'm waaaaaay off what we were talking about...

No, no. You've got it all wrong. You're supposed to lop off my head in a ritualistic fashion with a sword after I've disemboweled myself. It's actually quite an honor to be allowed to do so. The guy that did it for Mishima fucked up twice before slicing the damn thing off.

Wow. This is insane talking.

But it's OK, since there's an actual thread about the AF prank, elsewhere ^^.
