Need help finding a Faulconer track

Post by Grandmaster J » Mon May 21, 2007 4:18 pm

In the FUNi dub, right after Piccolo and Kami reunite their bodies, there is some very cool music that plays when Piccolo flies off the lookout and down to Earth. I've been searching thru all of the Best of Dragonball Z CDs for it, but I can't seem to find it. It's got to be on one of them, right? Does anyone know which one, and which number track it is?

Thanks. :)

Well, I did do a search on youtube for the scene I'm referring to. But no luck. All I could find was the Japanese version. I would rip it if I still had the DVD, which I don't.

I didn't exactly go thru every single track on all of the Best Of DBZ volumes thoroughly. I just skimmed thru each track real quick, including the other soundtracks (Trunks, Androids, Mahin Buu saga specials), hoping that I would recognnize it from the start. So my guess is the sequence I'm looking for may be at the end of a song (you know how Falconer liked to switch the moods of his music a lot ). I'll keep searching for it. But if someone finds it and posts the info, I would greatly appreciate it.

You know that's true, every time my friends asked him for bgm, he always would reply and will give the bgm to my friends, but then a week ago, I told my friends to email him asking him to compose a dan dan bgm and he never replied back, kind of funny huh.

His contact info is there.
Of course since the mass of "dragonball is the in thing, so i'll like it" idoits have moved to other shows, he might not be on top of it.

I just looked at the episode, then through my Bruce Faulconer mp3's. I'm pretty sure it's Super Namek from Best of Dragonball Z volume 1.

You're right raz1337. That's the music that plays right after the reuniting. But that's not the one I'm looking for. What I'm looking for is the music that plays directly after that. You know, when it shows Piccolo flying off the lookout to go find Cell? The music speeds up in tempo. It's an entirely different track.

Oh, wow, this is going to annoy me all night. It might be a track from an earlier season, though. That's what surprised me about Ginyu Transformation. I tried for a few weeks to find out what music was playing in the background of Gohan's SSJ2 transformation at the tournament in the Buu saga, only to find out it was a track that was created back in the Ginyu saga.

Yeah, I listened to Best of DBZ Vol. VI (figuring if nowhere else, it would be on that one, known as "The Lost Tracks" CD) last night, trying to find it, but no luck. I have all of the "Best of" CDs and the "Trunks Compendium", but I don't have the "Majin Boo Sagas" or whatever it's called and the Android 18 one.
Grandmaster J, have you checked all of the "Best of"s thoroughly?
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Tell us what it's like.
How does it start?

You sure it's not "CELL AND PICCOLO FACE OFF".
Theres also a preview of "piccolo angry",

I too have all of the Best of CDs, and the Majin Boo Saga, Android 18, Trunks Compendium and the Android Sagas CDs as well. I haven't gone thru any of them thoroughly yet. I will start sometime today. I need to find this track. It's bothering me! :?

COCONUT MILK, during the scene in question, first you'll here the Super Namek theme right after Piccolo and Kami fuse, right? Then, when the new Piccolo flies off of the lookout, the music shifts into a faster tempo drum beat, and the music will change. It does sound like it could be an older track made for the Namek Saga. I know it isn't "Piccolo's Angry" (it's one of my favorite tracks :)). Which volume is "Cell & Piccolo Face Off" on?

You guys know what track I'm looking for, right? If not, pop in your DVD. I know one of you has it. I don't have the DVD anymore, or else I'd post a clip.
